Users have occasionally had trouble accessing some websites from their iPhones. When you can’t access some web pages from your iPhone, but you can from other devices, you’ll want to know why Safari isn’t working on your phone.

In this article, we list several troubleshooting steps to help you figure out why Safari on your iPhone won’t open some web pages.

How to fix Safari not opening websites on iPhone

You can try the following to troubleshoot Safari problems on your iPhone. Try each one and then test if the problematic websites are opening before moving to the next.

Basic iPhone troubleshooting

Restart your iPhone:

iPhone X and later: Press the side button and the volume up button until the Power Off slider appears. Slide it, then wait 30 seconds. Press the side button until the Apple logo appears.

iPhone 6, 7, 8 or SE(2nd or 3rd gen): Press and hold the side button until the Power Off slider appears. Slide it, then wait 30 seconds. Press the side button until the Apple logo appears.

Make sure you are running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings and tap on General. Tap on Software Update and install any available updates.

Troubleshoot the Wi-Fi connection

These steps can help you determine if the problem is with your Wi-Fi.

Try loading the same pages using cellular data:

Open Control Center by swiping down from the upper-right corner of the screen.

Tap the Wi-Fi button to turn off Wi-Fi.

Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. See if the websites will load.

If websites will load while connected to cellular or to a different Wi-Fi, try rebooting your modem/router:

Unplug your modem (and router) from the power source.

Wait 30 seconds, then plug in just the modem (or modem/router unit).

If your router is separate, wait five minutes, then plug the router into its power source.

There are other troubleshooting steps you can try if you suspect your Wi-Fi is the issue. See iPhone 14 Won’t Connect to Wi-Fi, How to Fix.

Clear Safari data and check settings

Clear website data:

Open Settings and tap on Safari.

Tap on Clear History and Website Data. This will remove history, cookies and other data. The history will be cleared from all of your devices signed into iCloud.

Tap on Clear History and Data to confirm.

Check for VPN and security software. Sometimes VPN can interfere with website loading.

Open Settings, then tap on General.

Tap on VPN or tap VPN & Device Management, then tap VPN.

Look for any VPN that may be installed. If you have VPN software, you can delete it or contact the developer for more information about how the software could be affecting your network connections.

Check that JavaScript is enabled.

Open Settings and tap on Safari.

Scroll down and tap on Advanced.

If JavaScript is off, toggle the switch to turn it on.

Check for Private Relay. Private Relay can affect some websites.

Open Settings and tap on your name at the top.

Tap on iCloud, then if Private Relay is on, tap on Private Relay.

Toggle the switch next to Private Relay to turn it off.

Select Turn Off Until Tomorrow. If you find that this is the problem, you can learn more about Private Relay.

Reset Network Settings

If none of the above has solved the problem, you may want to contact Apple Support for more help.

Web Page Not Loading Or Displaying Correctly In Firefox

If you are facing the issue where web pages are not loading and displaying properly in the Firefox browser, then this article will be helpful. An example of such a case is where pages from a particular website display the text but not the images. In another case, the text might not be displayed properly either and could be stretched over a range.

Why is my browser not displaying web pages properly?

If your browser (be it Firefox, Chrome, Edge, etc.) is not displaying webpages properly, then it may happen because of the installed extension(s) or add-on(s). Also, if JavaScript is disabled on your browser, and the feature to load images is disabled, then it can also be the reason why the browser is unable to display webpages correctly.

Why is my website not loading on Firefox?

If your website is not loading on Firefox or you cannot open a particular website in Firefox, Chrome, or Edge browser, then first perform an antivirus scan. Additionally, you should delete the browser cache, reset the Hosts file, flush the DNS cache, and turn off enhanced protection mode.

Webpage not loading & displaying correctly in Firefox

The issue of web pages showing incorrectly has been common with all browsers. If you face this issue, one of our following suggestions is sure to fix the problem for you.

Hard Refresh the webpage

Disable the conflicting add-on(s)

Clear the cookies and cache for the Firefox browser

Reset the Zoom of the web pages

Reset the minimum font size

Reset the page style of the web page

Check that JavaScript is not blocked

Check that your system clock is set correctly

Disable Hardware Acceleration

Reset Firefox

Report the website.

1] Hard Refresh the webpage

Press Ctrl+F5 to Hard Refresh the webpage that will clear the cache for that particular webpage and reload it to provide a fresh page. It should help.

2] Disable the conflicting add-on(s)

It might be possible that some Firefox add-on that you’ve installed is blocking the webpage content or interfering because of which the webpage is not displaying correctly. If that is the case, then access the Add-ons Manager page in Firefox, and disable add-ons one by one. Once the conflicting add-on is found, you should remove it or keep it disabled.

3] Clear the cookies and cache for the Firefox browser

The purpose of cache files is to help webpages load faster whenever you try opening the same webpage. These files are temporarily stored on your system’s hard drive. However, if you are facing an issue where the web page is not loading and displaying correctly, the first approach should be deleting the cookies and cache. The procedure to do so is as follows:

Restart the system once done.

When the cache files are deleted, the system will rebuild them when you open the website again.

4] Reset the Zoom of the web pages

It should be noted that the Zoom of the Firefox browser is changed from its menu which is present at the top-right corner of the browser window (denoted by three vertical lines).

5] Reset the minimum font size

A few websites have a problem displaying the web pages if the minimum font size is not selected at ‘none.’ Some extensions and plugins are known to cause this modification. The procedure to correct this problem is as follows:

Type the address about:preferences in the address bar and hit Enter.

Change the value of Minimum font size to None.

Restart Firefox and try loading the web page once again.

6] Reset the page style of the web page

It could be possible that you set the style of the web page to No style. In such a situation, the issue in discussion could occur. This is because no default style has been instructed for the web pages. You can change it to Basic Page Style.

You could resolve it as follows:

Press ALT while keeping the Firefox browser open. This will display the traditional Firefox menu on the top of the window.

Restart the Firefox browser and check if the issue is resolved or not.

7] Check that JavaScript is not blocked

If JavaScript is blocked, certain parts of the page won’t load properly on the Firefox browser. Now you might not intend to block Javascript, but a few extensions like NoScript and some security software products can block it.

To isolate the issue, kindly disable the browser extensions known to block scripts and security software temporarily. If doing so resolves the problem, you could add Firefox as an exception to the security software’s whitelist.

8] Check if your system clock is set correctly

Websites use certificates for verification. However, the browser and the websites judge the date and time from the system clock. If the system clock is set to the wrong date (a much older or later one), the website won’t load properly. Thus, check the date and time on the clock present at the right-bottom corner of the screen. If it is incorrect, please correct the date and time.

9] Disable Hardware Acceleration

Certain drivers do not display web content in the correct manner if hardware acceleration is enabled. In such a situation, you could consider disabling hardware acceleration to access the web pages.

10] Reset Firefox

You can Reset Firefox and see if that helps.

11] Report the website

Try opening the web page on a different system. Also, try opening it on a different browser on the other system.

If the web page doesn’t work in either case, you could report the issue to the website owner. If it seems that the issue is specific to Firefox across multiple systems, then it could be reported to Webcompat here.

Hope the post helped you.

Images Not Loading On Iphone? Here’s How To Fix It

In rare situations, images on your iPhone may not load in certain apps like Messages, Safari, WhatsApp, or others. This guide shows you how to fix this issue and ensure images start showing properly.

General fixes for images not loading on iPhone

Images often may not load due to minor problems, and the following basic tips should take care of those.

Check your internet connectivity

Secondly, if you aren’t on Wi-Fi but cellular data, open the Settings app, then tap Cellular. Here, scroll down and ensure the app’s toggle is activated. If it’s off, that means the app can’t use cellular data, and thus it doesn’t load images due to not being connected to the internet.

Some apps and services may not work correctly with a VPN. So, if you’re using a VPN on your iPhone or router, turn it off.

Restart your iPhone

When images are not loading due to temporary issues, turning off your iPhone and turning it back on should help.

Restart your Wi-Fi router

If you are experiencing general issues with your Wi-Fi connection at home, an easy fix may be to restart the router. To do this, you can either press the power button or simply unplug the router. Either way, leave the router powered off for 30 seconds. Turn the router back on and wait for your device(s) to reconnect, then check to see if images load properly.

Ensure sufficient free space on iPhone

Images and videos may not load or download in several apps like WhatsApp and iMessage if you don’t have adequate free space. Plus, due to insufficient space, you might see an increase in the number of random app crashes.

To fix this, make sure you free up some local storage of your iPhone. The easiest way to do that is by deleting apps, photos, videos, and songs.

Reset network settings (as the last option)

Resetting your iPhone’s network setting is another handy option that fixes network issues that may be preventing images from loading successfully. However, before you reset your iPhone’s network setting, make sure you follow the other methods listed here. If they don’t work out, go ahead and reset the network settings.

Fix images not working in iMessage

With iMessage, you can send and receive photos and videos. Plus, it has an #images iMessage app that lets you find and send GIFs to spice up conversations. Here’s how to fix the potential issues that may cause images and/or GIFs from loading properly in iMessage.

Ensure iMessage is enabled

Force quit and reopen the Messages app

Here’s how to force quit and open the Messages app to fix images not loading in it:

On iPhone with Home button:

Double press the Home button to see all your open apps.

From here, swipe the Messages app card all the way up to close it.

Wait for 15 seconds before reopening the Messages app.

On iPhone with Face ID:

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold to see all your open apps.

From here, swipe the Messages app card all the way up to close it.

After about 15 seconds, open the Messages app.

Doing this should fix the issue and now you should be able to send and receive images via iMessage. Plus, trending GIFs should load when you tap the #images app icon in the iMessage conversation.

Check #images availability

As per an old 2023 Apple Support page, #images inside iMessage is available only in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, India, Singapore, Philippines, and Japan.

If you live in one of the other countries, you may not see the #images iMessage app. In this case, you can use third-party apps like GIPHY to search and send funny GIFs and memes on iMessage.

Check iMessage system status

Image issues in iMessage can also be due to some error or maintenance on Apple’s end. Go to Apple’s official System Status page and make sure iMessage has a green dot. In case it shows a yellow or red shape, please wait for a while until Apple fixes the iMessage outage.

Enable and disable #images

Here’s how to turn off #images and turn it back on. Doing so should help fix the issue and start loading the GIFs again.

1) Go to an iMessage conversation. From here, swipe left on the bottom row of iMessage apps and tap More.

2) Tap Edit.

3) Tap the red minus icon next to #images, and tap Remove from Favorites.

4) Next, turn off the toggle for #images to disable it.

6) You’ll no longer see the #images app in the row of iMessage apps. Now, restart your iPhone.

7) Go to an iMessage conversation, swipe left on the bottom row of iMessage apps, and tap More.

8) Tap Edit.

9) Enable the toggle next to #images. It should automatically move up under the Favorites section.

11) Now, tap the #images app icon, and it should load the trending GIFs. Find a suitable GIF and tap it to send it via iMessage.

Use GIPHY

Finally, you can use third-party alternatives if Apple’s #images isn’t available in your country or you can’t get it to work. One such app is GIPHY which has an iMessage app version letting you see and send GIFs straight from the messages conversation screen.

Here’s how to use GIPHY or other compatible GIF apps inside iMessage:

1) Download GIPHY from the App Store and sign in. You can use Sign in with Apple to accelerate things.

2) Open the Messages app and go to a conversation. Swipe left on the row of iMessage apps, and you should see the GIPHY app icon. Tap it to see GIFs and send them via iMessage.

Note: If GIPHY says Unable to load images, force quit the Messages app and reopen it. Also, make sure your iPhone has a working internet connection.

Fix images not working in Safari

When you visit a website in Safari, do you notice that images are not loading? If yes, the following solutions will fix the issue.

Force quit the Safari app

Follow the same steps as above (Messages app method) to force quit the Safari app and reopen it.

Check images on another website

Often images not loading in Safari can be due to issues from one particular website, and not indicative of a broader problem. Maybe its server is overburdened and thus it can’t deliver images appropriately. Or, the image is unoptimized and huge in size, thus taking ages to load or failing to load fully.

To check, visit any other website like chúng tôi or chúng tôi Do you see pictures on these sites? If yes, the problem is most likely related to that particular website. You can wait until the site’s administrator fixes the issue.

Clear Safari browsing data

In some cases, images on all websites or a particular site may not load until you delete your Safari browsing data (history, cache, cookies, etc.)

Here’s how to delete Safari data to fix images not loading on web pages:

1) Go to iPhone Settings and tap Safari.

2) Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data.

3) Tap Clear History and Data to confirm.

You have successfully deleted Safari browsing data from this device and your other devices with the same Apple ID.

Fix images not loading in other apps

Here are two potential solutions for images not loading in any iPhone app.

Is the image still available?

Sometimes, an image may not load because it is no longer available to download. Thus, you might see an error. This often happens in apps like WhatsApp, where old images may be deleted and hence no longer available. In this case, ask the sender to resend it.

At times, the third-party app may have bugs that prevent it from rendering and showing images correctly. To fix this, open the App Store and update the app.

Delete and reinstall the app

In case the images still fail to load and display correctly, delete the app and install it again. This should fix the issue.

How To Fix Twitter App Not Working Or Loading On Iphone

Is Twitter not working or loading on your iPhone? Well, if this is the case, you have come to the right place to fix this issue. But before you do that, you should know that there are various reasons why Twitter stops loading. It may refuse to show tweets because the servers are under maintenance, or there is a problem with your internet connection, or you have been logged out of the app, or the Twitter app is stuck and thus refusing to load new data, etc.

So, whatever be the reasons for Twitter not working on your device, we have a list of fixes that will solve the problem you are facing. Happy tweeting…

1. Force Kill the Twitter App

Sometimes when an app does not work, does not load data or hangs, it is okay to force kill it. To force kill the Twitter app on your iPhone:

Step #1. For the iPhone without Home button, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold. For the iPhone with Home button, quickly double press the Home button. You will see cards showing all open apps.

Now open the Twitter app again. This should fix the Twitter not loading issue.

2. Check Internet Connection

In case you are on Mobile Data and you are able to browse other websites and apps but not Twitter:

Step #1. Launch the Settings app and tap on Mobile Data/Cellular.

Step #2. Scroll down and see that the toggle next to Twitter is ON (that is, it shows green).

You may also turn Wi-Fi OFF and then back ON. If your phone has issues related to network settings, see #9 mentioned below.

3. Restart your iPhone

Restarting your iPhone is an easy way to fix many small issues. It is recommended that you do so at least once every week. If your Twitter app is not working, restart your iPhone and relaunch the Twitter app.

App updates introduce new features as well as fix existing bugs and issues. To update the Twitter app on your iPhone:

Step #1. Touch and hold the App Store icon. Now tap on Updates.

Step #2. If there is a pending update for the Twitter app, tap on UPDATE next to it.

5. Uninstall and Re-install the Twitter App

None of the above solutions worked for you? Well, now you could try a fresh install of the Twitter app. To uninstall it, touch and hold the Twitter app icon until you see a small cross in the top left of the icon. Now tap on the cross and tap Delete.

To install the Twitter app, launch the App Store, and tap on Search. Now type ‘Twitter‘ and download the app by tapping on the little icon that looks like an arrow coming down from a cloud.

6. Restart your Wi-Fi Router

Sometimes restarting your home Wi-Fi router helps too. To restart, you can use the button on your router or use the wall plug switch to turn it OFF and then ON.

7. Try Connecting to Different Wi-Fi Network

If the problem persists, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network and see if it helps. It has happened with me that, at times, a site like WordPress or Amazon stops to load on a particular network. After I switch network (or use a VPN on the existing network), it starts working again. You may give these solutions a go.

Apple is one of the few companies which brings regular updates and also keeps publishing new software updates for iDevices. You should make use of it. To see if your iPhone has a pending software update launch the Settings app and tap on General ⟶ Software Update. If you see an update available, tap on Download and Install.

9. Reset Network Settings

Resetting the network settings will also erase your Wi-Fi passwords, Location settings, Bluetooth devices, VPN settings, etc. But it won’t delete any of your data.

To reset network settings:

Step #1. Launch the Settings app and tap on General ⟶ Reset.

Step #2. Next, tap on Reset Network Settings ⟶ Enter the password. Now tap on Reset Network Settings to confirm. After this, the network reset process will begin.

10. Check for Twitter Server Working Status

It has happened multiple times with many users that everything from their end, like the network connection, the iPhone, other settings are correct or work perfectly. However, the Twitter servers are down or under maintenance, or not responding. To check this, you may search for something like ‘Is Twitter Down‘ or ‘Twitter Server Status‘ and see if other people are also facing a similar issue.

When many people are not able to use Twitter, this might equate to the Twitter server(s) being under maintenance. Usually, it is fixed within a few minutes to a few hours. If this is the case, you will have to wait. You may try using Twitter after some time.

How To Switch Tab Bar Position On Safari On Iphone On Ios 15

In case you didn’t know, Safari gets the biggest of changes in iOS 15 that not only brings new tools to browse the internet but also refreshes the way you use Apple’s native web browser.

Of the modifications that have been made to Safari, the most significant one of them is the location of the address bar that has been moved from the top to the bottom and it has been renamed to the Tab Bar. Let’s take a quick look at it.

How Apple plans to tackle Safari’s new Tab Bar concerns

Until now, Safari’s new Tab Bar in iOS 15 has had divided opinions with one faction appreciating how easy it is to use the browser with a single hand rather than using two to be able to reach the top half of the screen.

The other faction, however, has clearly been of criticism for Apple’s approach pointing that it disturbs the traditional experience of iOS that they’ve gotten used to in earlier versions of iOS.

To address this, Apple has brought a ‘Single Tab’ option inside iOS 15 that lets you switch back to the address bar at the top and steer clear of the new Tab Bar.

This lets users view the address bar as a single tab at the top like one iOS 14 and earlier versions but with one major caveat – you can no longer use Tab Bar gestures when doing so. You will have to suffice with the traditional navigation control from the bottom toolbar for going back/forward, switch between tabs, or opening Tab Overview.

Required iOS version

How to Switch Tab Bar position on Safari on iOS 15

Apple now lets you switch in and out of the new Tab Bar on iOS 15 in two different ways.

Method #1: Using Aa button on Tab/Address Bar

The easiest way to switch between the Tab Bar and Top Address Bar (the new name of the old address bar) is using the Aa button that will now always be present inside the Tab/Address Bar on Safari.

From Tab Bar to Top Address Bar

If you’re currently using Safari with the new Tab Bar, you can switch to the trust old Address bar by tapping the ‘Aa’ icon at the bottom left corner of the Safari screen.

In the overflow menu that appears, tap on the ‘Show Top Address Bar’ option from the top.

When you select this option, the Tab Bar will disappear from the bottom and you should see the old address bar appear at its original location as it did on iOS 14 and the versions before it.

You can no longer use Tab Bar gestures with the Top Address Bar enabled.

From Top Address Bar to Tab Bar

If you somehow managed to get back using the Top Address Bar and are already regretting it, you can enable the new Tab Bar at any time by first tapping on the ‘Aa’ icon at the top left corner inside Safari.

In the overflow menu that appears, select the ‘Show Bottom Tab Bar’ option which is present at the bottom of the menu.

When you do that, Safari will now show you the iOS 15’s Tab Bar which you can use with gestures as well as the navigation controls at the bottom.

Method #2: Using Safari Settings

You can also switch between Tab Bar and Top Address Bar inside your iOS settings. To do that, open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap on ‘Safari’ on the next screen.

Inside Safari settings, scroll down until you reach the ‘Tabs’ section. Here, select either ‘Tab Bar’ or ‘Single Tab’ depending on how you want Safari to look and want to interact with it.

If you select the ‘Single Tab’ option, you should be able to use Safari in a familiar way like you might have gotten used to in iOS 14 or earlier versions. This option is identical to choosing the ‘Show Top Address Bar’ from the method above as it moves the address bar from the bottom to the top with all other navigation controls at the bottom.

That’s all you need to know about changing Tab Bar positions inside Safari on iOS 15.

Why Do Web Pages Load Slowly – How To Fix It

Oh! The agony of the loading screen. Every second feels like an hour, and we grow more impatient. If only we could fast forward time and kill the waiting moments.

You can simply fix web pages load slowly just by restarting your PC. If that doesn’t work you can restart your router to see if there’s a problem with your ISP.

These solutions work most of the time if not always. But, if the problem persists, there are a few more troubleshooting methods to try.

Site cache accumulated in your browser slows down the performance of your browser. It is recommended to clean your browser cache every once in a while. Here’s how you can clear cache in Microsoft Edge.

Cookies from trusted websites help improve your site experience. If you block all cookies by default, consider enabling cookies for websites you use.

Sync activities in the background can take up network usage. This results in slower internet access for the user. Every pro user should be able to pause syncs during internet browsing and enable them when not using a PC.

Windows has powerful options to limit the performance of your system. Your network too may be affected by this. If that is the case, you should consider switching to better performance options

Same as Sync settings, other applications also may be running in the background. This could be the voice assistant, notification services, file indexers, and so on. It is better to turn them off and only enable them when needed.

Power options apply to Windows installed on laptops. To increase battery life, Windows tries to run the system on minimal power consumption. As a result, network performance may suffer even when plugged in.

Sometimes your PC may have invalid DNS and IP configurations. This results in slower internet connection or complete internet failure. Changing settings to get configuration from the router is the best approach for resolution.

With an upgrade to Windows, your network adapter may also need a driver update. If the system hasn’t applied the update yet, install the driver update with these steps.

IPv6 is version 6 of the internet connection. It is supposed to be the future standard of the internet as more and more network devices are used in the world. For now, all devices support and use IPv4 which is the current standard. IPv6 can be safely turned off in Windows to prevent any potential network issues.

Hopefully, you’ve tracked down the culprit by now. If you haven’t, it may not be a problem on your end. In fact, any of the web pages you’ve opened could be slowing down the entire system.

FAQs Will connecting to a VPN make my internet faster?

Connecting to a VPN server routes your internet traffic through the VPN server. Depending on the location, you may experience slower internet when connected to VPNs. Without VPNs, your traffic goes from your ISP to services such as Facebook and youtube. If your internet is slower when connected to VPN, disconnect from the VPN first before trying.

All the devices including my Windows PC have slow connections. What should I do?

If multiple home devices are experiencing slow internet, check your router. See for any warning signs if the internet doesn’t work at all. You may also need to contact their technical support and inform them of the situation.

Only Youtube and Facebook are slow on my internet. What should I do?

If you have issues in certain sites only, it shows a problem with the server that’s hosting the site. You can verify if Facebook or any other site is working by going to sites like isitdownrightnow. You only need to enter the website address to check if it is working properly.

If you are experiencing slow services regularly, it indicates a problem with your ISP. Talk to them to see if they are throttling your bandwidth during peak hours.
