Suggested January 2024 How To Play Podcasts On Homepod
Listening to podcasts from HomePod and HomePod mini is easy and quite enjoyable, so wouldn’t you like to know how to do this? Whether it’s listening to your favorite podcasts or finding new ones, let’s dive in.
Both the HomePod and HomePod Mini are powered by Apple’s Siri voice assistant which means you can get most of the tasks done with just your voice. You may have already used Siri on the HomePod to play your favorite songs on Apple Music and make other requests. The good news is that podcasts can be played on your HomePod in a pretty similar way too. Plus, you have the option to use AirPlay if you’d rather not use Siri all the time, since this allows you to play podcasts on a HomePod through another device.
How to Play Podcasts on HomePod with AirPlayThis method is for those people who’re not too keen on using Siri all the time. You can begin playback by using the AirPlay feature on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Simply follow the steps below:
As you can see, it’s really simple to use your HomePod as the output speakers with AirPlay.
How to Play Podcasts on HomePod with SiriUsing AirPlay to stream audio may be simple, but it’s even easier with Siri, since you don’t have to fiddle around with your Apple device nearly as much. Here’s what you need to do:
You can start off by using the command “Hey Siri, play a podcast.” and Siri will randomly pick and play the latest episode of one of your podcasts.
You can specific the name of the podcast you want to listen to by saying something like “Hey Siri, play the Global News Podcast.”
If you want to listen to the latest episode of a show, you can use something similar to “Hey Siri, play the latest episode of This American Life.”
Listening to the episodes that show up in the Up Next section of the Podcasts app is pretty easy too. All you need to say is “Hey Siri, play my newest episodes.”
Finding and Subscribing to Podcasts with SiriIf a random podcast is being played and you have no clue what show it is, you can use Siri to quickly find it. Just follow these steps:
You can use either “Hey Siri, what podcast is this?” or “Hey Siri, what show is this?” and Siri will name it for you.
If you’re interested in subscribing to the podcast you’re listening to, use the voice command “Hey Siri, subscribe to this podcast.” or “Hey Siri, subscribe to this show.”
Also, you can specify the name of the show that you want to subscribe to. Say something like “Hey Siri, subscribe to TED Talks Daily.” and Siri will get the job done.
Voice Commands for Playback ControlNow that you know how to play and find podcasts using Siri, you may want to learn the commands for controlling the audio playback. Here are some voice commands you can use:
“Hey Siri, pause.”
“Hey Siri, play at double speed”
“Hey Siri, jump back 30 seconds.”
“Hey Siri, skip forward two minutes.”
“Hey Siri, increase the volume.”
There you go. Now you know exactly what you need to while listening to Podcasts on your new HomePod.
This is simply one of the many things that you can do with your HomePod. Apart from music and podcasts, HomePod is also capable of playing ambient sounds that can help some users a lot during their bedtime. There are seven different ambient sounds to choose from that play continuously until you manually pause it or set a sleep timer.
Home automation is one of the biggest selling points of the HomePod and HomePod Mini. Sure, your smart speaker delivers high-quality audio for its size, but if you have HomeKit accessories in your house, you can automate their operation using the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. If you’re interested, you can learn more about setting up a HomePod automation right here.

How To Use Intercom On Homepod For Announcements In Your Home
With a lot of updates and new features to your Apple devices this year, one more will have you and your family communicating throughout the house. Intercom on HomePod gives you a quick and simple way to speak to family members in other rooms of the house.
You can use your HomePod, or all of them if you have more than one, as a loudspeaker of sorts. Speak into another device like your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch and your message will be heard on the HomePod(s) in your household.
Here, we’ll show you how to use the Intercom on HomePod, customize the settings, and make the most out of this cool new feature.
Intercom messages with HomePodCustomize the Intercom settings
Make sure that you’re running the latest software on all of your devices. The Intercom will actually turn on automatically. But you can adjust a few settings for it before you use it.
Receive notifications
You can decide when to receive notifications for the Intercom. And you can adjust this setting on any of the HomePods you own or in the Home Settings. No matter which spot you make the change, it will apply universally. So, open the Home app and do one of the following to set up notifications.
In the HomePod settings
1) Navigate to a HomePod in the Home app.
2) Press and hold the HomePod icon.
3) Scroll down to the settings and select Intercom. You may have to tap the gear icon to display them all.
4) Under Receive Notifications When, choose from Never, When I’m Home, or Anywhere.
In the Home Settings
1) Tap the Home icon on the top left and choose Home Settings.
2) Scroll down a bit and tap Intercom.
3) Under Receive Notifications When, choose from Never, When I’m Home, or Anywhere.
Allow user access
To control the users who can send Intercom messages, you’ll head to the Home Settings in the Home app.
1) Tap the Home icon on the top left and choose Home Settings.
2) Scroll down a bit and tap Intercom.
3) Under People, enable the toggles for those HomePod users you want to allow access to Intercom communications.
Choose the HomePods
Just because you have a HomePod in a room doesn’t mean you want to send and receive Intercom messages with it. You can enable only those speakers you want to use the feature. Similar to setting up notifications, you can choose the HomePods to use in either their settings or the Home Settings.
In the HomePod settings
1) Navigate to a HomePod in the Home app.
2) Press and hold the HomePod icon.
3) Scroll down to the settings and select Intercom.
4) Under HomePod, enable the toggles for the HomePods you want to use with Intercom.
In the Home Settings
1) Tap the Home icon on the top left and choose Home Settings.
2) Scroll down a bit and tap Intercom.
3) Under HomePod, enable the toggles for the HomePods you want to use with Intercom.
Send and receive Intercom messages
You can use your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, CarPlay, and AirPods to send Intercom messages. This makes it convenient to communicate with your family from anywhere, anytime. Plus, Siri can help send Intercom messages and reply to them too.
Use the Home app
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the Home app to send an Intercom message. As of this writing, the Intercom feature in the Home app is not available on macOS Big Sur or earlier.
1) In the Home app, tap the Intercom icon in the toolbar at the top. The icon looks like a sound wave and can be found on the Home tab or the Room containing a HomePod.
2) Speak your message to play it on the HomePod(s) in your home. For a certain one, add the room or zone for that HomePod. So you can say something like, “Let everyone know I’ll be late” or “Tell [office] I’m running behind”.
3) Tap Done when you finish.
Within a few seconds, the Intercom message will play for all to hear!
Use Siri for announcements
If you want to send an Intercom message with Siri, it’s just as easy. And this is how you’ll send messages using your Apple Watch, CarPlay, AirPods, or compatible Beats headphones.
You can use phrases like these:
“Hey Siri, announce that dinner is ready.”
“Hey Siri, intercom everyone it’s time to wake up.”
“Hey Siri, ask the [living room] what they want for lunch.”
“Hey Siri, tell the [upstairs] that Rover needs a walk.”

Reply using Siri
The nice thing about Siri, aside from the charming personality, is that you can reply to Intercom messages using Siri as well. Just insert the word “reply” and of course, make sure you’re near the HomePod for Siri to hear you and send your reply.
Try replies like:
“Hey Siri, reply I’ll be right there.”
“Hey Siri, reply I need another 10 minutes.”
“Hey Siri, reply to [kitchen] a sandwich sounds good.”
“Hey Siri, reply to [office] you walk Rover, you could use the exercise.”
Wrapping it upThe Intercom feature for HomePod is a useful one. And if you have more than one HomePod in your house, it’s even better!

Want to experience some classic games? You can play old games on Windows 11, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the perfect match. Numerous challenges have been precariously linked to this game. Arguably the most challenging one is how to play it on your PC.
It’s one of the most beloved games in Nintendo’s history, so it’s no surprise even the newer generation wants in on the fun. If you’ve ever wanted to play this game on your PC, you’ve come to the right place. In this article, we show you how to get and play it on your PC.
Where can I play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on PC?Some games require extra effort to get them to play on your PC. And if you should go through all that is required to play, it should be worth it. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of those games users will go to extreme lengths to play.
The game was originally released in 1998, so it’s not a new one. However, it’s still enjoyable and well worth playing today. If you’re looking for classic gaming nostalgia or want to check out one of the best games ever made, this is it.
Since its release, Zelda has been predominantly locked to Nintendo, which forced other users to look for alternatives. Below, we show you how to bypass these restrictions.
Is there a way to play Zelda Ocarina of Time?Yes, but before you can start playing, you will need the following:
ROMYou need a copy of the game, and you’ll need to get it legally. The game is no longer in production, and Nintendo has taken steps to prevent people from playing it on their computers. A ROM is a copy of a game cartridge.
It’s an exact bit-for-bit duplicate of the original game. The only difference is that instead of being stored on a physical cartridge, it’s stored in digital form on your computer. It may cost you a few bucks, but if you’re dedicated, you can’t put a price on a classic game.
Expert tip:
EmulatorsEmulators are programs that allow users to run software designed for another platform on a computer or mobile device. In this case, the emulator will allow users to run the original version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on their computers.
These are much easier to come by, and you can check out our recommended list of the best all-in-one emulators. The downside to using emulators, especially for older games, is that they can be quite unreliable and buggy.
For this article, we will use a port: The Ship of Harkinian. This is an unofficial fan-made remake of Ocarina of Time that runs natively on Windows. It includes many improvements over the original game, including high-resolution textures and better controls.
How can I play Zelda Ocarina of Time? Now that you’re all set proceed with the following steps:
The resolution is top-notch, and the widescreen support is a much-welcomed improvement. Now, all fans are waiting on is a higher FPS, and from the look of things, it doesn’t seem far off.
After all is said and done, the most important thing to take away from this article is that playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time on your PC is a lot of fun.
It’s easily one of the best games ever made, so it’s well worth playing regardless. If you haven’t played it before, you owe it to yourself to set aside an evening and try out this classic gem.

Youtube Adds New Podcasts Section
YouTube has added a new Podcasts “Explore” page that makes it easier to find podcasts. Although the addition was not formally announced, keen eyes noticed and called attention to the new dedicated podcasts section.
The new Explore page for podcasts may help bring more visibility to podcasts.
Explore PagesExplore pages are top-level categories, like Music, Sports, and Comedy.
The menu navigation makes it easy for audiences to browse to the genre of content they are interested in, and once there, they can browse through the different selections.
The menus for accessing the Explore pages are at the top left of the page from the link labeled Explore and lower down along the left navigation in the Explore section.

The link to the Podcasts category page is only accessible through the main Explore category page.

For those categories lacking a dedicated category page, the podcast audience has to use a sideways scroll to explore more podcasts within the topic.
Podcasts Are Popular on YouTubeAccording to a 2023 study by Edison Research, YouTube is the most popular platform for listening to podcasts, with Spotify a close second.
Notable about that statistic is that YouTube reached that level of popularity without a dedicated category for podcasts.
The new Podcasts Explore page isn’t highlighted on the YouTube home page, and there are no dedicated podcast categories for topics like Sports, Music, True Crime, or Comedy.
Because of the seemingly incomplete navigation, there’s a work-in-progress feel to it.

How To Play Ps2 Games On Your Jailbroken Ps4 9.00 And Lower
Last Updated on May 17, 2023
This is part of our Jailbreaking the PS4 series, if you’ve not done so and have a PlayStation 4 on 9.00 or below, then have a look at how to do it and install the Homebrew Store.
Where else can I go from playing Shadow of the Colossus to that awful Little Britain game? Or those original pair of Disaster Report games? Either way, with a jailbroken game emulating these older, less easy to get hold of games has never been easier. With a huge catch.
Because those behind the scenes are having to refigure out emulation on a different skew of a familiar platform, it’s thrown a few wrenches in the works. As of right now, there’s a lot of games that do work, but not the full 100% list that you’d find enjoyment on PCSX2 and the like. It’s a work in progress and at some point, should see more added.
You can check out what games are working, but your mileage may vary. However, I’ve had pretty much excellent results with all of the games I’ve tested on the playable side of things.
What you’ll needYou’re going to need to download a few programs and acquire your PS2 files elsewhere.
On your PS4 you’ll either need IPI, Remote Package Installer or if you plan on sending them over by USB, just ignore that and install via GoldHEN as you usually would. Follow that tutorial here.
Converting PS2 games to PS4 PKG filesWith PS2 games, you’ll notice that more often than not you’ll get a CUE and BIN file. PCSX2 and a few other emulators don’t actually need an ISO file anymore and it’s a holdover for those that want to burn a physical disc rather than play digitally.
However, to make a PKG file you’re going to need those ISOs. The program will ultimately crash if you try to put in the BIN or CUE.
Open up PS2 Classic GUI (it’s in the Debug folder, you can make a shortcut for easy access) and go through the tutorial to familiarise yourself with the various buttons. It’s straight forward and once you’re done, just close the window. It’ll boot up a low-res PS2 video and then open the program.
Convert PS2 BIN files to ISONow open WinBin2ISO, a freeware program that doesn’t need installing. Point it towards your BIN file – ignore the CUE – and where you want it to go. From here, you’ll want to go and head back into PS2 GUI and press the ISO button to get your ISO. You can rename it in the title section if it doesn’t appear right.
Convert to PS4 PKG FilesPress Create PS2 Classic and put it where you want to save it. Now you need to either put it onto your USB drive or send it over remotely via FTP to get the game onto your console. It should install and work like any other game, so experiment and enjoy your classic games!
