How to fix the AirPods battery drain issue
No matter why your AirPods battery is draining, we will help you find the most effective solution for your AirPod battery draining issues. Each step is aimed at fixing a probable cause of concern.
1. Factory reset AirPods
Factory resetting your AirPods is one of the most sure-shot ways of fixing the battery drain issue. To reset your AirPods, connect them to your phone and keep them in the case. And then remove and forget them from your list of BlueTooth devices on your iPhone. After that, you can long-press the Setup button on your charging case for 15 seconds till the lights glow amber. Then reconnect your AirPods to your phone.
Check out our detailed guide on how to factory reset AirPods.
2. Switch off automatic ear detection
Apple put a lot of thought into designing this feature of your AirPod. Your AirPods can sense when they are in your ear. So if you are not wearing the AirPods, the music or video you are watching will stop automatically. It would resume again if you put the AirPods back in your ear.
While this is a very good invention by Apple, it does drain a lot of battery. So if you are facing issues with your AirPods battery, we suggest you turn off the automatic ear detection feature of your AirPods.
3. Always place your AirPods in the case
AirPods is a highly intelligent device that works based on the input from the sensors of both the left and right AirPods. When they are kept out of the case, the sensors are always alert if you suddenly decide to put them back in your ear.
This causes a lot of battery draining. So if you are in the habit of leaving your AirPods out and about, we suggest you change that and put the AirPods back in the case after you are done using them.
4. Use AirPods battery optimization
If you own the latest versions of the iPhone and AirPods, you should avail yourself of the battery optimization option from your phone’s settings menu.
Connect your AirPods to your phone and open Settings.
Tap and enter the Bluetooth option.
Enable the Optimized Battery Charging option.
6. Check and replace AirPods battery
Sometimes it might be the case that your AirPods have faulty battery or hardware. In such cases, the only course of action for you is to change your AirPods. It is impossible to replace the AirPods battery; thus, the Podswap is the only option.

Apple estimates that a full charge of your Apple Watch should provide up to 18 hours of “All-Day” usage. But that’s not always the case. Several factors determine how long your Apple Watch’s battery lasts: usage frequency, apps installed, notification settings, display configurations, and so on.
If you’re experiencing Apple Watch’s battery drain issues, that’s most likely because the device is handling more processes than it used to. In this guide, we highlight ten power-saving tips that’ll help maximize your Apple Watch’s (Amazon, Best Buy) battery life.
Table of Contents1. Reduce Display Brightness
The brighter your Apple Watch’s screen, the quicker the battery dies. That’s because more battery juice is required to power a brighter display. Reducing your Apple Watch’s display can extend its battery life and usage hours.
Open the Settings app on the Apple Watch, select Display & Brightness, and tap the sunlight icon on the left to reduce the display brightness by one level.
Don’t reduce the brightness to a point where you struggle to see the screen’s content. You can also remotely adjust your Apple Watch’s brightness from your iPhone.
Launch the Watch app, go to Display & Brightness, and move the slider to the left to reduce your Apple Watch’s brightness.2. Disable Always-On Display
The display of the Apple Watch Series 4 and older editions only comes on when you raise your wrist or press the Digital Crown. For Series 5 and newer editions, there’s an option to keep the display on at all times. While the “Always-On” feature comes with its benefits, it’ll cause Apple Watch’s battery drain issues due to the display drawing down the power.
If your Apple Watch is connected to an iPhone, launch the Watch app, go to the “My Watch” tab, select Display & Brightness, tap Always On, and disable the “Always On” option.3. Disable Wake On Wrist Raise
Waking your Apple Watch only when you tap the screen or press the Digital Crown will maximize battery performance. Head into the Apple Watch Settings, tap General, select Wake Screen, and disable Wake on Wrist Raise.
[20-disable-wake-on-wrist-raise-apple-watch]4. Reduce On Tap Wake Time 5. Disable Background App Refresh
Background App Refresh is a watchOS feature that keeps the content of your Apple Watch apps updated. Despite the benefits, battery drainage is an issue when many apps refresh their content in the background. Go through your Apple Watch’s settings and disable Background App Refresh for unneeded apps.
Open the Settings app, select General, select Background App Refresh and toggle off background refresh for unimportant apps.6. Modify Siri Settings
Using Siri with your Apple Watch can drain the device’s battery faster than usual if Siri always listens for voice commands. Disable the virtual assistant’s voice command to get the best out of your Apple Watch’s battery.
Open the Settings app, select Siri, and toggle off Listen for “Hey Siri.”
Better yet, turn off Siri if you don’t use the virtual assistant at all. See Step 2 for instructions.
Turn off both Raise to Speak and Press Digital Crown.
That’ll immediately display a confirmation prompt on the screen.
Select Turn Off Siri.7. Disable Notification Alerts from Unneeded Apps
When paired with an iPhone, iOS routes notifications from supported apps to your Apple Watch. It’s good to have your Apple Watch notify you of new messages and alerts. On the flip side, unnecessary notifications can cause significant Apple Watch battery drain issues.
Go through the list of apps sending notifications to your Apple Watch and disable alerts for unneeded applications.
Open the iOS Watch app, go to Notifications, scroll to the “Mirror iPhone Alerts” section and toggle off apps whose notifications aren’t worth forwarding to your Apple Watch.8. Disable Fitness and Health Monitoring Features
Apple Watch ships with a handful of fitness and health and fitness features that track heart rate, blood oxygen, calories, etc. If you bought your Apple Watch for the aesthetics or just to tell time, disabling these features will reduce battery drain.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone and select Privacy.
Toggle off both Heart Rate and Fitness Monitoring.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and disable Blood Oxygen Measurements.9. Enable Power Saving Mode
In Power Saving mode, watchOS will turn off unneeded features during workout activities to extend your Apple Watch’s battery life.
Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, scroll to the bottom, and select Workout.
Toggle on Power Saving Mode.10. Update Your Apple Watch
watchOS updates ship with bug fixes and security enhancements that can reduce battery drainage and resolve other issues. Connect your Apple Watch to a WiFi network and follow the steps below.
Open the Settings app, select General, and select Software Update.
You can also remotely update your Apple Watch from your iPhone. Open the Watch app, select General, select Software Update, and install any watchOS update available on the page.

So, you got a brand new iPhone 7 and have been playing with it day in and day out. It’s fresh and novel, and you just can’t get enough of all the new features – both in the hardware and in iOS 10 – that are not at your disposal. You’re having the time of your life until you realize that your brand new iPhone isn’t lasting as good as you expected it to. I mean, Apple claimed that the A10 Fusion chip is more power efficient and the battery is also larger, albeit marginally. Still, with all of that, how come you’re having your phone’s battery dying out halfway through your day?
In this article, we’ll look at some of the methods that you can employ to improve the battery life on your iPhone 7 and fix common issues that might be there. Please note that while we’re talking specifically about the iPhone 7, the tips apply to pretty much any iPhone running iOS 10, so they’re worth a try even if you don’t have the latest that Apple has on offer.Do you even have a battery issue?
Before we go into how to fix battery issues, let’s first establish that you actually have an issue with your battery life in the first place. A lot of times, users report terrible battery life right off the bat on their iPhone or after they’ve updated to a newer OS version. In reality, whether it’s a new device or a major software update, the reality in most cases is that we’re just using the device a lot more. Trying all those new features and gimmicks results in longer screen-on times, which eats through the battery pretty quickly. Also, if you’ve updated an older iPhone to the newest iOS version, Spotlight will end up re-indexing everything, resulting in a pretty taxing load on the processor and high battery drain.
If the above isn’t your case, continue onto the tips that we list below.Check your battery usage Disable certain iOS 10 features
With iOS 10 on the iPhone 7, there are a lot of features that Apple added to make things more convenient. While they’re pretty nifty, then can take a toll on your battery, and disabling some of those might improve things for the better.1. Raise to Wake 2. Connectivity features
iPhone 7 comes with a pretty full connectivity package, and you might not need all those features on at all times. For instance, you may not have a Bluetooth accessory paired at all times, in which case you can simply disable Bluetooth. Likewise, if there’s no WiFi available, it might help to turn off the radio. Also, if you’re in a poor cellular connectivity area, turning off LTE would be a good idea. Another thing you can experiment with is turning off AirDrop unless needed.
There’s no central location for all of iOS’s connectivity features, but most of them can be toggled via the Control Center that you can access by a simple upward swipe from the bottom of the screen.3. Motion and Visual Effects 4. Siri Suggestions 5. Use (or don’t) Auto-Brightness mode
In reality, users have reported mixed feedback on this. Some users have had great battery life with Auto-Brightness on; others say it killed their battery life altogether. Experiment with both and pick the one that works best for you; just know that this option is there and you should play with it for optimal results.Manage your options better
Many battery saving tips would recommend that you turn off a lot of features like Background App Refresh and Location Services. We disagree with that wholeheartedly. What’s the point of having a smartphone if you turn off a bunch of all those things that make it smart? Hence, our recommendation here is better management as opposed to outright disabling.1. Background App Refresh
iOS 10 comes with a Background App Refresh feature that basically lets certain apps refresh and update even when not active so that when you load the app, it always has the most recent and updated data available without loading times. This is great, except that the default behavior of iOS is to allow every app to have this feature enabled, wreaking havoc on your iPhone’s battery.2. Notifications
Notifications is another thing that you can micromanage to gain better battery life. By default, a vast majority of iOS apps will ask to send you notifications, but you don’t need notifications from all of them, do you? Perhaps you can survive without getting notified by a game, but definitely not without email notifications. The general rule is, if you don’t need to be notified by an app, don’t let it.
You can manage all your notifications by going to the Settings app and then Notifications. Go into each app that you don’t want notifications from, toggle off “Allow Notifications”.3. Location Services
Here, first look at the list of apps and if you see something that shouldn’t be using your location, stop it. You may also select which apps can always access your location and which can only when you’re using them.
Oh, and while you’re here, do turn on the Status Bar Icon, as that will give you a much needed visual indication of when your iPhone’s GPS has been engaged.4. App Closure Use Low Power Mode
If all of this didn’t help, iPhone 7 and iOS 10 come with a Low Power mode that automatically kicks in when your phone’s battery hits 20%. In this mode, certain visual elements are disabled, background activity is halted and the processor on your iPhone 7 will clock down a little bit to reduce stress on the system. If you’re experiencing poor battery life, you can manually enable this mode as well. Simply go to Battery settings and toggle on “Low Power mode”. An indication of this mode being on is the battery icon turning yellow instead of the regular green (or orange or red, depending on battery level).Restore your iPhone as New
So, you tried everything and your iPhone 7 still won’t last you long enough? Before taking matters to Apple, it won’t hurt if you restore your device and start fresh. Connect to iTunes in Recovery mode and restore the device, and set it up as a new iPhone instead of restoring from a backup. In some cases, it is possible that a bug had carried through your backups for a long time that is making matters worse. Setting up as a new phone will eliminate that chance and let you know whether it’s something on your end or with the device, after which you can make a better decision of which course to take.Fix iPhone 7 battery Woes with these simple tips

Miracast-compatible devices and receivers have grown in number since the introduction of the wireless display standard.. That means you can now mirror the display of your Miracast-enabled phone, tablet, or PC wirelessly to any receiver that supports Miracast.
For starters, the wireless technology enables PCs to project your screen to TVs, projectors, and monitors that support Miracast. It lets you share the tasks you are performing on your PC, present a slide show, or play your game on another screen.
If you are on Windows 8.1 or Windows 10, your PC is ready for the wireless display. However, if a receiver does not yet support Miracast, you must add the necessary hardware to the display before you can start the wireless projection.
Before you can project to a receiver wirelessly, check if your computer supports Miracast and that its drivers are up-to-date:
As mentioned above, you might encounter problems projecting wirelessly if your PC drivers are out of date. To get the current drivers for your PC, let Windows Update install all of the critical and optional updates for your PC. In addition, you can download the latest drivers from the support page on your PC manufacturer’s website. How to get your devices ready 1. How to set up an unsupported display for Miracast
While most receivers today already support Miracast, some devices you might want to project to may not be compatible with the wireless technology yet. If so, get a Miracast adapter or dongle and plug it into an HDMI port on your display to allow your PC to connect wirelessly with the receiving device. Various companies manufacture and offer adapters for Miracast, including ActiontecScreenBeam Pro Wireless Display Receiver and the NetGearPush2TV (PTV3000) Wireless Display Adapter.
On top of your PC, the adapters must have the latest firmware version as well. You can get the updated firmware from the support page of the manufacturer’s website or by searching through your device. The Windows Store also offers some application that automatically updates the firmware on your adapter, such as the Miracast Wireless Adapter app.2. Add your specific display
Now that your PC and display are ready to communicate wirelessly, make sure the two devices are at close range and follow these steps to add a wireless display to your PC:
Choose the wireless display in the list of devices found, and follow the instructions on the screen.3. How to project your monitor to a wireless display
To project your screen
To choose the display on each screen
PC screen only. You’ll see everything on your PC. (When you’re connected to a wireless projector, this option changes to Disconnect.)
Duplicate. You’ll see the same things on both screens.
Extend. You’ll see everything spread over both screens, and you can drag and move items between the two.
Second screen only. You’ll see everything on the connected screen. Your other screen will be blank.4. How to disconnect the wireless display
You can do the following if you choose to disconnect your PC from the wireless display:
How to fix frequent Miracast issues
In addition to installing the latest drivers and firmware versions, you can perform other methods in case some issues with projecting wirelessly persist.1. Unable to add a wireless display
One of the common issues you might encounter with Miracast is the trouble with adding or connecting to a wireless display. If you are unable to add a wireless display or even connect to it, restart your PC or the wireless display and/or adapter. If the problem persists, do the following:
Choose the wireless display in the list of devices found, and follow the instructions on the screen.2. Fuzzy text and stuttering images
Another issue with projecting wirelessly via Miracast is fuzzy text or stuttering images. If this happens, change the screen resolution on your computer by performing these steps:
Use the Resolution slider to choose a different screen resolution.3. Audio playback issues
If the audio continues to play on your computer, try to disconnect the display and reconnect again. See to it that you have selected the display as the default audio device by doing the following:
