Suggested January 2024 How To Auto Reply From Multiple Messenger Apps
In today’s world it is impossible to ignore constant beeps on the phone. There are so many distractions, especially from text and messenger alerts that it can leave us irritable and burnt out. Choosing to ignore the sender is not always an option. While we are in meetings, driving or just about to relax, it is nice to catch a break from having to reply immediately. Here we will discuss how you can auto reply from all your messenger apps without exerting yourself.
On Android, the following third-party apps help you automate replies from multiple messengers and SMS immediately.
Away – Free Automatic Reply for All Social Media Apps TextAssuredTextAssured is slightly more intuitive in auto replying to multiple messenger alerts. It does not work that well for free, so you have to go for an inexpensive Premium option. Among the unlocked features, you can create multiple reply profiles (depending on the sender, of course) and set priority ordering. So, a family member can receive much higher priority than someone you just met online.
Creating a reply profile is easy, and you can choose whether you want the auto replies for SMS texts, calls or apps. Currently, the company only supports WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, but they are planning to bring more apps into their fold.
DrivemodeWhile technically not an auto-reply app, Drivemode is very useful to manage calls and messages while driving. You can activate voice commands using hands-free settings as well as extra large touch buttons to seamlessly move between the applications. Apart from SMS, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, it also works with Slack, Pandora, Spotify, Google Assistant, Google Play Music, chúng tôi and Google Maps. Drivemode is also available for iOS.
Once you set up the navigation app, it immediately takes over your phone’s display screen unless you shut it down. All you have to do is mount your phone in the car’s cup holder or console. Swiping the arrow “up” or “down” enables you to move to the next app’s notification.
ConclusionToo many Messenger alerts on the phone can cause problems for many people. Google was planning to introduce a “Reply App” in April 2023 but for some unknown reason it never made it out of beta phase. Apple users also don’t have this option because iOS prevents its apps from interchanging user information for security reasons. That being said, iOS 11 and later versions have a “Do Not Disturb” feature while driving with support for the Drivemode app discussed in this article.

How To Enable Auto Reply For Messages, Calls, And Apps On Android.
If you often find yourself in situations where you can’t reply to messages or take calls, such as meetings or driving, this guide will show you how to enable automatic message replies for missed calls and messages you aren’t able to reply to straight away. (including non-standard messaging apps)
How to Quickly and Easily Transfer Files From PC to Android Over WiFi.
Email services have been offering ‘out of the office’ and ‘auto-reply, away’ messages for quite some time. Disappointingly though, by default, most, if not all smartphone manufacturers today don’t offer a system/service that allows you to set automatic custom reply messages for the times you can’t answer your phone or reply to messages.
This may start to change in the future, as there is now a way to enable an auto-reply system for Android devices. It is still currently in beta testing, however, for an app in Beta test phase, it works very well. The app is called Can’t Talk and is currently available for free on the Google Play Store. When enabled Can’t Talk will send auto-replies to the calls and messages so you can let people know you are busy, not ignorant or ignoring them. The messages are also open to customisation, so recipients won’t be receiving generic replies unless of course, that’s your preference… Can’t talk also works for a variety of different messaging apps including Textra.
Download Can’t Talk From the Play Store.
How to Setup Auto Reply Messages on Android Devices. To start, you will need to download and install Can’t Talk on your Android phone. (As the app is currently still in beta, you may need to join the beta test and accept the beta terms and conditions, which can be done here.) When you have signed up to the test and have downloaded the app, open it. On the main screen, you will see three different options, SMS, Calls, and Apps. Using the toggle you can enable or disable each of the options, generally, you will probably want to have all three enabled or disabled at the same time if you are too busy for calls you are probably too busy for messages.
Tapping on each of the headings will allow you to customise the contacts or apps you want auto reply enabled for. For example, under Phone or SMS, you can choose specific people who you want Can’t Talk to auto-reply to manually. Or can leave the default setting, which will auto-reply to all incoming content. Under Apps, you can set which apps you would like auto-reply enabled for. Phone and SMS work very well at the moment but Apps is still a little temperamental so don’t expect a perfect response just yet. In the top right-hand corner, you will see the main Enable or Disable toggle which will turn Can’t Chat On or Off.
Below that is the auto-reply message box, where you can enter the message you would like sent to everyone whenever you have auto-reply enabled.
Wrapping Things Up.Can’t Chat is free to download and use on a two-week trial. After that, only SMS and Phone auto-replies will continue to work in full. If you would like to continue using the entire app, including the App auto-reply element, you will need to make the purchase. The app is quite good, however, it may be worth holding off on a purchase until the beta is finished and the paid (App) function has been perfected to work better with Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram etc. It’s also pretty cool to note that coming updates are likely to bring custom profiles for driving, office, home environments.
How To Prevent Apps From Accessing Internet On Mac
Access to the internet is a service used by almost every app out there. Be it for automatic updates, syncing data to the cloud, or just to verify license codes every few days, a lot of apps establish connections to various servers in the background. While some apps explicitly ask for our permission before establishing any outgoing or incoming connections with the internet, or a server, most apps don’t, especially when it comes to our Macs. With the amount of third party apps that we use everyday on our Mac, it is hard to know which apps might be using these connections for hidden, unwanted purposes.
1. Radio SilenceRadio Silence is a simple, no nonsense app that allows users to prevent apps from accessing the internet. This app ensures that the apps you add to the block list are not able to create any incoming or outgoing connections at all. The interface for the app is simple, and easy to use. There are no extra options to confuse you, and the app takes a “add it, block it” approach towards blocking internet access on a per app basis.
Install (Starting from $9, Free trial)
2. Little SnitchLittle Snitch is the exact opposite of Radio Silence. It is an app meant for power users, who want absolute control over each and every process on their Mac that is trying to access the internet. Little Snitch might seem intimidating to casual users, and people who do not want to tinker with the built-in settings on their devices. However, for people who want total control over the apps and processes that get access to the internet, Little Snitch is by far the best app. The app asks for user permission every time any process or app tries to establish a connection with the internet, and it applies these rules strictly, even to system processes.
Using Little Snitch, you can block internet access even for Spotlight on your Mac, effectively stopping it from retrieving search results from the web. There’s no reason why you might want to do this, but it goes to show how powerful the app is. The app allows for creating rules for every app that the user wants to add to the list of allowed/blocked connections.
The best part about Little Snitch is the customisability and flexibility it offers to the users. For example, if you add Google Chrome to the list of blocked apps, you have the flexibility to completely block internet access for the app, or just to prevent certain websites from being accessed by the application, by using the “Domains” option in the “Server” drop down menu.
The app also allows you to create protected rules, so that they can’t be altered by anyone without the system password, effectively allowing only you to edit the firewall rules that you created. Little Snitch also has the ability to create profiles. This means that you can create different profiles for different types of usage. For example, you might create a profile for home and for work, where you allow and deny internet access to different apps, based on the apps that you want to be using when you’re at work, as compared to when you’re at home. Profiles can be switched with ease, and offer a lot of flexibility to the users.
Little Snitch can be a little cumbersome for casual users, though, because it makes every single process on your Mac to ask for your explicit permission before allowing it (or denying it) access to the internet. This can be a problem because of all the different, weirdly named processes that are used by the Mac, and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you might cause more harm than good from using Little Snitch.
Use the Mac’s built-in firewallThe Mac also comes with a built-in Firewall. The only problem with using this to block access to the internet, is that it doesn’t allow users to block outgoing connections from the Mac. It only allows users to block incoming connections on their Macs. The reason behind Apple’s implementation of a firewall, that is only “half” a firewall, is anyone’s guess, but the truth remains that if you want a fully fledged firewall on your Mac, you will have to rely on a third party application.

Prevent Unwanted Apps from Accessing the InternetUsing these apps on your Mac, you can allow or deny individual apps from accessing the internet, making sure that only the apps that you want are allowed to establish any connections with the web. These features can prove highly useful if you have a limited data plan, and don’t want unwanted apps from taking megabyte sized bites from your already limited data cap. If you are a power user, or if you want extra flexibility with firewall rules, Little Snitch is definitely the way to go, as it has some really great power features. But, if you just want to block access for some apps, and don’t want a lot of fuss over it, you can opt for Radio Silence, and it will get the job done; no questions asked. The app will not be able to access the internet, nothing less, nothing more.
How To Extract Icons From The Apps On Your Mac
Extracting app icons on a Mac is useful in many ways. Maybe you are writing an eBook and you need the icons for the apps that you are going to mention in your book, or you just want to have the back of your laptop filled with different app icons. Whatever the reason is, getting the icons off apps is easier in Mac than any other platform. The built-in utilities on your Mac allows you to extract an icon from an app without much hassle. So if that is what you want to do, this guide should help you.
There are actually two ways to extract the icon of an app on your Mac. The first method takes help of the content manager to provide you with the icon, and the second one uses the Preview app that you must be familiar with if you have been using a Mac for quite some time. Here’s how you can use both of these ways.
Extracting an App Icon Using Content ManagerOpen the folder where the app you want to extract the icon is located. If you want to grab the icon of a system app that has come preloaded on your Mac, you can just head to the Applications folder where all of those applications are located.
You now have several folders on your screen. Open the folder that is labeled as “Resources,” as that is where the resources, including the icon, are located.
You are now in the folder where the icons you were looking for are located. Just look around for the app icon you want to extract; it will be in “.icns” format. Once you have found it, you can copy it and use it wherever you want.
If the default icon format doesn’t work for you, you can convert them to a more popular image format using the Preview app on your Mac.
Extracting an App Icon Using PreviewIf you would prefer using Preview to extract the icon, here’s how you can do that.
Open the folder where your app is located.
The extracted app icon is now available for you to use.
ConclusionOften, while writing guides or creating a roundup article, you will need those little app icons to make your work more enjoyable to the readers’ eyes. The above guide should help you do that on a Mac.

How To See Multiple Screens On Zoom
2023 might not be known to be the year where people gathered but the global situation that we’ve been put into hasn’t stopped us from interacting with our loved ones, family, and getting work done. With services like Zoom, communication is the least of anyone’s worries during the pandemic, and organizations and businesses have found logical alternatives for collaboration and conversation.
One of the key highlights of Zoom is its seamless capability to share one’s screen with others. But did you know that you can see more than one shared screen during meetings on Zoom? That’s what we’re here to talk about.
In this post, we’ll explain how you can see multiple screens at the same time on Zoom, how it works, things you need to enable it, how you can use simultaneous screen sharing, and more.
When can you see multiple screens at the same time on Zoom?
You can see multiple screens on Zoom only when others share them with you inside a meeting. This is possible through the simultaneous screen sharing feature on Zoom which allows multiple participants to share their screens at the same time.
When multiple users share their computer screens at the same time, you will be able to view them at once or select the ones you want to show up on your screen.
What do you need?
To enable simultaneous screen sharing, you require the following things.
You are the meeting host on Zoom
You have disabled Remote support for everyone in your account or group
You’re using the latest version of the Zoom desktop client on Mac, Windows, or Linux
You have enabled content sharing through dual monitors (Optional but recommended)
How to enable simultaneous screen sharing on Zoom
Before you proceed to enable simultaneous sharing on Zoom, you need to make sure that you’re the meeting host and that you have turned OFF Remote support. To enable simultaneous screen sharing, open the Zoom desktop client on your computer, and then join a meeting as a host.
You have successfully enabled simultaneous screen sharing inside the Zoom meeting.
How to see multiple screens inside a Zoom meeting
Once you have enabled the ‘Multiple participants can share simultaneously’ option inside the meeting screen on Zoom, any participant present in the meeting can share their screen irrespective of whether someone else is sharing theirs.
Participants will see the following content depending on the setup they use for their Zoom meetings:
For those using dual monitors: Can see 2 screens that were most recently shared.
For those using the Zoom mobile app: Can see 1 screen most recently shared screen, No option to change the screen they’re viewing.
Why should you use simultaneous screen sharing?
With simultaneous screen sharing, you get a bunch of benefits.
Sharing rights isn’t restricted to a single participant in a meeting
Others can share their screen even when one participant is currently sharing
Gives participants the ability to decide whose shared screen to look at
Dual monitor users can view two shared screens at once
Helps meeting members make a real-time comparison of documents or work materials
Why should you NOT use simultaneous screen sharing?
As useful as it may be on most occasions, there are some limitations to simultaneous screen sharing, and here are some instances you should not use it.
Participants using the Zoom app on their mobile phones still won’t have the ability to share when someone else is sharing, even with this feature enabled.
When you enable simultaneous screen sharing on Zoom, you lose the functionality to share your computer’s audio when showing your display with others.
Simultaneous screen sharing also disables the ‘Optimize for full-screen video clip’ option on Zoom.
The ability to view multiple screens during a meeting is limited to those with a dual-monitor setup. Regular users will have to decide whose screen they want to view and they can only view one of the screens on their desktop.
Want to view multiple user’s camera views instead?
If you wish to see multiple participants on the same screen during a Zoom meeting and not the screens shared by others, then you can do that by simply switching to Gallery view from inside the meeting screen. Gallery view lets you see up to 49 participants in a single grid and you can also customize your view by re-ordering participants on your screen.
You can learn more about viewing multiple users on Zoom in the post we’ve provided in the link below:

Marketing Opportunities From Mobile Apps
Do you have an app strategy? 5 options for reaching and engaging your audience through mobile applications
I’m currently updating my books on the latest developments and thinking through the options companies have for their mobile app strategy. This is where I’ve got to.
I’d be grateful for your opinions, particularly if you have experience of what works and what doesn’t as a specialist consultant on mobile apps or if you are using apps within your business.
The growth in popularity of mobile appsFor me, the growth in popularity of apps for the iPhone has been amazing with Apple announcing in January 2010 that 3 billion apps had been downloaded in the 18 months following the launch of the AppStore. Growth has been maintained through 2010:
The figures in the chart above from iPhoneDev are compiled a summary of the growth based on official figures from the Apple App Store and showed these fascinating characteristics of Apps from the App Store in June 2010:
Number of apps downloaded per month = 500M
The number iOS users = 100 Million
Average number of apps downloaded by an iOS user = 5 per month
Of which paid apps are 25% i.e. 1.25 apps
Average spend by an iOS user = 1.25*$1.25 = $1.5 per month
Total paid apps sales amount = $1.5*100M = $150M
Popularity of apps by operating system Mobile app strategy optionsI think think the main mobile app strategy decisions are:
For many companies, this won’t be a priority because they will have to put budget into higher priority areas such as improving the experience on site or in their social network presence. Owing to volume of users reached through these other platforms incremental improvements here are likely to give better returns. But the figures presented above show the potential benefits of apps to marketers in reaching audiences and potentially in selling apps, although the latter will be generally limited to publishers or specialist software developers. For these types of organisations, apps are likely to be a priority.
Q3. Free or paid apps? Retailers will generally offer free apps offering choice and convenience in return for loyalty. Brands offering entertainment will likely also go the free route to increase customer engagement. But for publishers or software houses, a freemium approach of free app showcasing the serivce and paid app for improved features or content is the standard approach.
Q4. Which category of application to target? As you would expect, accessing social networks and music via apps is popular, but for most organisations, you can see from the chart below that Games and Entertainment are the main options.

Your options for marketing apps are illustrated well by this chart of preference for finding out about apps for smartphones which shows that the most popular methods of app discovery are
1. Searching the app store
2. Recommendations from friends and family
3. Mention on device or network carrier page
4. Email promotion
5. Offline mention in TV and print.
