Back when there was actual film inside cameras, people would sometimes accidentally create a picture that had a double exposure. That is, two different images would show up on the same photo. That is, two different images would show up on the same photo. Now that digital photography has taken over the world, it is impossible to have accidents like that.
Dubble is a photography app that recreates that rare anomaly and superimposes images on top of each other. Double exposure filters are not new in the App Store, but this one is different because it combines your images with a complete stranger’s…
Users start by creating an account. Once you have confirmed your email address, you will be able to start uploading images to dubble. You can either choose pictures from your iPhone’s photo library, or take a snapshot using the internal camera feature.
Once you’ve taken a photo, add a caption and upload it to dubble. The image will become part of the app’s picture library where it will be used to create double exposure images for all other users, so don’t upload anything you want to keep private.

Your pictures will appear on your profile page under “Singles.” After a few seconds, you will see new images appear under another section on your profile pages called “Dubbles.” Here, you will see your uploaded pictures combined with another user’s pictures. When you tap on a picture, you will be able to see that user’s profile and see what Singles and Dubbles they have in their collection. You can also view the profile of all other users that were part of any user’s dubbling, so you’ll be able to check out lots of interesting images. You can share anyone’s images to Facebook and Twitter.
If you don’t like the final results of one of the images you’ve dubbled you can try again. Swipe to the left on one of the pictures in order to access additional controls for your dubbles. You can share your image on Facebook and Twitter, save images to your camera roll, redubble a picture, trash a dubble that you don’t like, and report inappropriate images.
Although the dubbling features are limited right now, the app’s developer will be adding more in future updates. For example, you will be able to choose photos to dubble with, instead of having a random image added to yours. Dubbling with your own images is also in future plans.
Dubble is available for free. Download it in the App Store today.

ConclusionHow To Create Duplicates Of Photos And Videos In Ios
The iOS software on Apple’s iPhone and iPad devices comes with a variety of tricks for manipulating, editing and sharing photos and videos. With iOS 9.3 and later releases, the Photos app includes a “Duplicate” feature that lets you create extra copies of a still image or video with a few simple taps on the screen. This comes in handy, for example, if you want to keep an original photo and send an edited version to a friend.
1. Start the Photos App by tapping the Photos icon in the iOS Home screen.
2. Select the photo or video that you want to duplicate. You can do this from the Camera Roll or any of the other iOS photo albums.
3. Tap the “Share” icon. When you tap it, the Photos app displays several options for sharing pictures.
4. Tap the “Duplicate” button.
This step creates a duplicate file instantly. Regardless of where the original photo/video is in your Camera Roll, iOS puts the duplicate at the end.
You can duplicate several photos/videos by selecting them as above, then tapping the Duplicate button.
Note: the Duplicate and Copy buttons serve two different purposes. Use “Copy” to copy a photo or video that you would then paste in a text message or other app; it does not create a duplicate file.
Enjoy!

How To Create Collaborative Albums In Google Photos You Can Share By Url.
If you have a Google account and an Android device, you have probably heard of Google photos. If you haven’t yet, it’s only a matter of time, as the service’s popularity is growing every day. Google Photos is completely free, gives you unlimited storage space for both photos and videos as well as plenty of social features and sharing options. In this guide, you’ll learn how to create and share ‘Collaborative Albums’ with anyone you know.
How to Reduce Google Chromes Memory/Ram Usage.
As we mentioned above, Google Photos is full of features, is completely free and it’s super easy to share photos from. More and more platforms that use photos and videos as part of their service are also starting to adopt Google Photos as a place to upload your content from. For example, if you are into photography you may have noticed that Gurushots (a Photography competition website) has recently added an option to upload from Google Photos. If you are already a user or just exploring the app, below are the steps you need to follow to share album collaborations.
How to Create and Share an Album in Google Photos. The first thing you are going to have to do once you have Google Photos up and running on your device is tap on the three horizontal line menu icon in the top left-hand corner of the app window. From inside the menu select Shared, this will open a new section that will display albums you can share with anyone. In the bottom right-hand corner of this page, you will see a Green + symbol, tap this to create a new shareable album.
Now that your album has been created, you can share it. On Android devices tap the dots connected by lines shaped like a C icon (share) in the upper right corner. (On iPhone you have already hit share) You will now have the option to share your album across tons of different platforms, such as Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, Skype, Email etc. Upon selecting an app to share to, Google Photos will paste a URL link to your album into the service, then all you have to do is tap Send.
Note: You should be aware that this URL isn’t protected by a password or security, it is completely open, so anyone who has the Link can view it. So be aware that if you send this URL to someone it is possible for them to forward it on to others.
How to Customise Your Shared Albums. With your album created, you now have the option to customize it further using the icons that run along the top of the app. If you tap on the 3 vertical dots icon you also have the option to view/edit the extra options not listed along the top. Below are the areas you can customize in your album:
Add more pictures/videos to the album.
Share the Album with more people.
Add Locations.
You will also notice that when you open the 3 dots vertical menu you have access to Sharing Options, inside this menu you can:
Enable or disable sharing for this album.
Get a copy of the URL link to the album.
Turn collaboration on and off (this option allows other users to add/edit the album)
Last of all, it displays the Owner of the album, which in this case will be you.
Note: If you decide to turn off sharing at any stage for the album, the link will no longer work. Upon enabling sharing again a new link will be generated.
How to Delete a Shared Album in Google Photos.Deleting a shared album is really easy and all you have to do is tap on the 3 dots vertical menu and select Delete Album from the bottom of the list. Once you delete the album, everyone including you will no longer be able to view/use it.
How To Compress Photos On Iphone And Ipad
Every now and then you may come across a situation where you will need to reduce the size of your photos whether for convenient sharing on social media or uploading to a site that has a file size limit. That’s where an efficient tool that can cut down the file size without destroying the quality becomes the need of the hour. While reducing the size of images is relatively easy on the desktop, the process isn’t that straightforward on iOS due to the lack of a native tool. But don’t get disheartened as there are quite a few third-party apps that can let you compress photos on your iPhone or iPad without any hassle.
How to Reduce File Size of Photos on iPhone and iPadHaving tried out a number of photo compression apps, I have found three apps up to the mark – both in terms of reducing the file size of images faster and getting the work done with the needed efficiency.
Best Photo Compression Apps for iOSPhoto Compress: Very few apps are able to compress images as proficiently as Photo Compress. What’s more, it has a simple interface and reduces file size pretty fast. Apart from handling images, it’s also quite good in terms of reducing the size of videos. You can use it on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 10.3 or later.
Install: Free (offers in-app purchases)
Install: Free (offers in-app purchases)
Image Compress & Resize Easily: Whether you want to compress your images or resize them, this one can get the job done with consummate ease. Depending on your needs, you can compress your images with a specific size or percent. Do not that its free version is limited, so you will need to upgrade to the pro version to enhance the functionality.
Install: Free (offers in-app purchases)
Compress Photos on iOS Using Photo CompressIn this guide, I’m going to use Photo Compress. As steps are pretty much the same for all the three apps mentioned above, you can use any app to shrink your photos.
Once you have downloaded Photos Compress on your iOS/iPadOS device, launch it. Then, tap on the “+” button at the top center.
2. Now, tap on OK to allow the app to access all of your photos to help it work properly.
Note:
In iOS 14 or later, you may get a popup asking for your approval to access your Photos.
If you don’t want the app to have access to your entire photo library, tap on Select Photos. And if you wish to let it access all of your photos, select Allow Access to All Photos.
Note:
In iOS 14 or later, you will need to select the images again and tap on Done if you allowed the app to access only specific images.
4. On the next screen, you should see the original file size of images and the file size reduction in percentage. After that, tap on Continue to proceed.
5. Once it has compressed the images, tap on Finish. Now, you can head over to the Photos app to check your compressed images.
Compress Photos With Ease on your iPhone or iPadSo, that’s the way you can shrink the file size of images on your iOS device. As outlined above, these apps are fully equipped to more than just fill up the void. Aside from compressing the images fast, they also do not destroy the quality. Thus, your photos will continue to look good even after the compression.
Though the stock photos app has got several neat improvements like sorting out images, filtering photos, and even editing videos, it lacks a useful compression tool. Hopefully, Apple adds it sooner than later.
By the way, which one of these apps have you chosen to cut down the file size of images on your device. Also, tell us about whether or not the app has lived up to your expectation.
How To Batch Resize Photos And Videos On Iphone
Apple tried to give users at least some photo and video editing tools for use on the mobile platform, but even those options built into the Photos app that let you fiddle with cropping, resizing, rotation, and colorization are limited and leave a lot to be desired. Not to mention, the features that Apple does give you are difficult to use with precision and are even cumbersome to use at times.
With an app called Desqueeze, you can resize photos and videos in bulk with ease, and not only that, the application gives you incredible precision for doing it. A step up from what Apple calls built-in editing features in iOS, Desqueeze is a great option for those looking to make their photos and/or videos smaller in file size, change their format, and more. In this tutorial, we’ll be showing you how you can use the application to resize your photos and videos.
How to resize photos on your iPhoneIn this tutorial, we’ll focus on resizing images.
To begin resizing photos in Desqueeze, you’ll want to follow these steps:
Step 1: Download Desqueeze for free, launch the app, and tap on the photo(s) in your Camera Roll you want to work with to select it.
Step 2: Select the scaling ratio you want to use for your photo(s) by tapping on it.
Step 3: Once you’ve chosen all the photo(s) you want to work with, tap on the editing button at the bottom left of the app.
Note: You will now be greeted with all your editing options. Any changes you make here will be applied to all of the photos you selected when you apply them, even if you chose more than one photo.
Step 4: Tap on the dimensions box as outlined above and you’ll get a dimension input box where you can choose your own custom dimensions for scaling.
Step 5: Type in the custom width and height you want and then tap “OK.”
Step 6: Tap “OK” again in the next interface you see.
Step 7: Now that your dimensional settings are saved, tap on the paw button at the bottom of the application to initiate the changes.
Step 8: A new interface appears, showing you a history of all your resized photos that have been added to your Camera Roll.
Note: From here, you can select one or more of your results and you can share or delete them. The share button is found at the top, right-hand corner of the app, and the delete button is found at the bottom, left-hand corner of the app. All results that show up in this window are already present in your Camera Roll because the application automatically saves a copy of the edited photo to your Camera Roll when you apply the changes.
Using presets to scale photos in DesqueezePicking up where Step 3 left off above, you can also pick from image resizing presets rather than inserting your own numbers, which is especially useful if you’re not very photo editing-savvy and want the device to do the scaling math for you so that your image doesn’t come out scaled weird by way of poor scaling numbers. To do this, follow these steps after Step 3 above:
Step 1: Swipe to the left on the editing options interface and you’ll be provided with all of the above scaling presets.
Step 2: Tap on one of the desired presets and then tap on the “OK” button to save it.
Step 3: Tap “OK” again in the editing options interface after verifying that the dimensions are the same as the ones you chose.
Step 4: Tap on the paw button at the bottom of the application, just like you would have in Step 7 above, and your scaled image will be saved to the Camera Roll.
How to resize videos on your iPhoneJust like photos, Desqueeze comes with the same options for videos in your Camera Roll, although you’ll find that there are new file types to choose from and a few other different parameters, considering that video files are different than image files.
We’ll keep this simple. Here are the steps for resizing your videos from your Camera Roll:
Step 1: Launch Desqueeze and select the video(s) from your Camera Roll that you want to work with.
Step 2: After selecting, tap on the editing button at the bottom right of the app.
Step 3: Enter your own manual dimensions, or swipe to the left to choose a preset, then pick the ratio you want.
Step 4: Tap “OK” twice.
Step 5: If you’re satisfied with the dimension and scaling settings, tap on the paw button at the bottom of the app to save the resized video(s) to your Camera Roll.
Some details about DesqueezeDesqueeze is a free download from the App Store and it comes with numerous tools in its compact interface. The app will let you select one or more photo(s) from your Camera Roll, and then you can begin choosing from all of the editing options you want to use that are provided by the app.
Although Desqueeze will resize photos and videos in your Camera Roll, it doesn’t modify the original media, it just makes a copy. You’ll want to either make quick use of the new smaller file before removing it or remove the original after you’re satisfied with the resizing because otherwise you’ll have two copies of the same media taking up valuable storage space on your iOS device.
You can select photos and videos whether they’re in portrait or landscape orientation, and the application is smart enough to automatically resize the media in the proper orientation. For example – if you choose 1024 x 768 when selecting photos of different orientations, landscape photos will be scaled to 1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels long, and portrait photos will be scaled to 768 pixels wide by 1024 pixels long.
What’s more is the app also includes various tools for converting file types. For images, .png, .jpg, and .tiff are available for converting to, while for videos, .mp4, .mov, and .m4v are available for converting to. These options give you a good way to prepare images for printer, web, or digital viewing use, and ensure that video is always in the highest quality that you demand.
Why resizing photos is a good ideaWith cloud storage often being limited and additional space often costing the user more money, conserving space is always a great benefit, and when photos are so pixel-plentiful with today’s high-megapixel cameras, it doesn’t really hurt to scale them down at times.
ConclusionWhen Apple’s settings aren’t fine-tuned enough, the free-to-download Desqueeze app offers a great way to break down the actual numbers and get the dimensions that you truly want. iOS’ built-in photo editing options are made to be simple to use and what you get is a dumbed-down interface with fewer fine-grained controls. With Desqueeze, you’ll fill the void that Apple didn’t fill when they launched some of these features in the Photos app.
