Suggested March 2024 Best Pubg Guns: M416, Awm, Ump45, Slr, And More

PUBG Mobile has been around since late 2023 and has continued to be a stalwart in mobile gaming years after its release. It set the tone for the battle royale genre. Moreover, it still attracts beginners today. If you’ve recently started playing PUBG, you may have noticed a significant number of guns present in the game’s latest version.

If you’re still experimenting to find the most suitable one, we’ve curated a list of the best PUBG guns to use, especially as a beginner. Let’s look at them below:

List of the best assault rifles in PUBG

Assault rifles are often considered basic weapons in shooter games. They’re usually the most fundamental primary weapon for most PUBG players. However, the game offers a range of assault rifles with different characteristics. Remember that the PUBG weapon stats can be updated frequently, leading to minor but noticeable changes.

Here are the guns that stand out from the rest.

1. M416

The M416 is a staple gun for many pro PUBG players as it provides almost the perfect balance between damage (40 points) and recoil. The PUBG gun stats are quite accurate, and these stats favor the M416 beautifully.

The gun is also fairly compatible with multiple accessories, and this includes an extended magazine as well as a varying range of scopes. You can pair this with a stock replacement that decreases the recoil and increases the accuracy drastically.

The M416 is ideal for mid-range fights, and with a 4X scope, can be quite effective for long-range gunfights. Just make sure that you take bullet drop into account, as the higher rate of fire can make the gun unstable over such long distances.

2. Beryl M762

If you’re entering a gunfight in close range with an opponent who has a Beryl M762 equipped, you should head towards the opposite direction as fast as possible. This assault rifle has a tremendous amount of base damage (44) that is only slightly impaired by its accuracy due to the high recoil.

You can make good use of this after you’ve equipped this gun with different stocks and grips. The decrease in recoil will stabilize the gun and reduce bullet spray. Pair this gun with a sub-machine gun for excellent close to mid-range gunfights.

3. Groza

Groza is a highly underrated gun in PUBG Mobile. With high base damage (47) and lesser recoil than the rest of the guns in the assault rifle category, this gun finds the sweet spot for balance. It’s also lighter than the other assault rifles in the game. This makes it easier for you to run toward safety after holstering the gun as there’s no extra weight to slow you down.

Another aspect of the Groza is that it has a very high firing rate. With less recoil and less bullet spray, you’ll be able to deal much better with quicker opponents. Groza is rather difficult to find when searching for loot during the match. However, if you find it, you can be sure that it will be a trustworthy weapon.

4. AKM

Since the AKM has substantial base damage, it is great for pairing with a scope and used as a long-range assault rifle. Pair it with a 6X scope, and you can have a proper substitute for a sniper.

5. M16A4

The M16A4 performs best when aiming for long-range kills, especially after fitting the gun with a 4X or 6X scope. The gun provides two modes for firing. The first is a burst mode that sends out a series of bullets without compromising stability. The second mode is the single-shot mode that works well for long-range kills.

Top sniper rifles in PUBG Mobile

Snipers are a specialist’s weapon, and I prefer them over others. If you play as a sniping enthusiast in PUBG, you will have to change your playstyle accordingly.

Barging into rooms for loot and clearing floors of enemies isn’t going to be the plan’s part. You’ll have to be patient and observe enemies that could potentially threaten you or your squad and pick them off smartly from a distance.

Here are the best sniper rifles in the game.

6. AWM

The AWM is the best sniper in the game, without a doubt. It’s so overpowering (with a base damage of 107) that a single body shot can critically injure opponents. This gun is difficult to find, though, and you’ll have to race towards airdrops to have a chance at acquiring the AWM.

Even PUBG’s new guns can’t compare to this beast of a rifle. Don’t bother using this gun at close range, as it isn’t fast enough to kill enemies at such a small distance.

7. M24

Pro PUBG players know the utility of a Kar98K sniper rifle. It has a substantial amount of damage (75) and is quite reliable. The M24 is an upgraded version of the Kar98K, with much greater damage, range, and a slower reloading time.

Despite its bolt-action reload system, the gun is quite fast and can be used in suitable mid- and close-range situations. If you find this in an opponent’s loot or out in the open, don’t be afraid to swap your other gun for it.

Designated Marksman Rifles (DMR)

Designated Marksman Rifles are a combination of assault and sniper rifles. While they try to combine the best of both categories, DMRs are often quite difficult to use. If you’re a beginner, I’d recommend practicing a few matches with DMRs first.

You’ll get faster reloading times and a higher rate of fire than sniper rifles. You’ll also have better stability than assault rifles, especially over long distances. However, DMRs don’t come with a huge magazine size. So, you’ll have to be more accurate with your shots.

Here are a few DMRs you should use in the game:

8. Mk14

The Mk14 is a rather rare weapon that you can only find through airdrops in the game. So, if you want to play the game with this gun, you’ll have to be on the lookout for airdrops and rush to them before any of your opponents do.

If you are a complete beginner using the Mk14, I’d recommend finding and using a magazine extension so that you have 20 bullets in one magazine.

Mk14 is also stable and compensates well in terms of recoil. The magazine extension also works effectively for an assault rifle. Nonetheless, we wouldn’t recommend this gun for close-range gunfights.

9. Mini 14

The Mini 14 is a highly versatile rifle that works well in multiple situations. Its high rate of fire means that you can use this gun in close to mid-range gunfights. It also has multiple modes of fire.

The single-shot mode is especially important if you pair this with a 6X or 8X scope for long-range shooting. It can be a good substitute if you haven’t found a dedicated sniper rifle in the game.

It has a base damage of 46 points, making it one of the mid-tier rifles to use in the game. So, while you can’t expect to kill your opponent with just a single shot from the Mini 14, you can bet that its versatility will work in your favor.

10. SLR

The SLR is one of our favorite guns in the game. It has a base damage of 56, good enough to inflict some serious damage onto your opponents. It has high recoil, so you’d have to use this gun a few times before you’re completely comfortable with it. The bullet velocity is also on the higher side, enabling you to snipe your opponents with ease and precision.

Use this gun for mid-range and long-range gunfights. You don’t have to use too many attachments with the SLR, as its default state will be good enough for you to win that elusive chicken dinner.

Best Submachine guns (SMG) in PUBG

There are seven submachine guns in PUBG, and here are our favorites:

11. UZI

While most people don’t care much for the UZI and discard them for bigger weapons as the match progresses, the utility of the UZI cannot be denied. Its small form factor is a boon when you’re locking horns with an opponent inside a building. The lighter weight and small design of the gun will allow you to use it quickly, as it won’t slow down the reaction time.

Since it’s an SMG, it has a low base damage of 26. The gun shouldn’t be used as a primary weapon, and even with an accessorized and customized UZI, it’s better off used as a secondary gun.

12. Vector

We would also recommend adding a good grip and an extended magazine to use this gun to its full potential. The recoil level will take some time for you to get adjusted to in the beginning, so you will have to be cautious on that front.

13. UMP45

This would be the undisputed ruler of all the submachine guns. For a submachine gun, it has an insanely high base damage of 41, which almost puts it on par with some of the assault rifles in PUBG. The fire rate is also decent, with a lack of recoil. This means that you can cause severe damage to your opponents without worrying about the recoil causing problems to your accuracy.

Its low recoil also implies that you can use up to a 4X scope on the UMP45 for mid-range gunfights. With these stats, it’s no wonder that the UMP45 is now one of the most popular secondary weapons in the game.

PUBG Mobile best shotgun

At the initial stages of the match, when you’re still finding the best loot for your character, the shotgun can be a good option. Here are some of the best shotguns in the game:

14. S12K

Although the S12K has a base damage of just 24, a single shot from the shotgun sprays up to four shotgun shells. Moreover, you can customize this shotgun to quite an extent. Attaching scopes and grips compensate to some extent for the excessive recoil. At the very first stages of the game, the S12K was used by many players as a rifle due to its level of customization.

While it is a good shotgun to use at its default state, our recommendation is to customize this gun as much as possible with some accessories. This would ensure that the shotgun remains reliable in many situations, even as a secondary weapon.

15. S686

S686 is very similar to the S1897 in damage. The S686 has a base damage of 26 and has a better firing rate than its counterparts. It doesn’t have too many attachments and can be paired with a Duckbill and Bullet Loops. The latter is especially useful since the S686 takes quite a while to reload.

The shotgun has limited usage as it cannot be paired with a scope, and you’re most likely to use it as a secondary weapon in the latter stages of a match. Nonetheless, it has its utility in close to mid-range battles if you’re fairly accurate with your shots.

Light Machine gun

The Light Machine gun category in PUBG offers a few guns that you will enjoy using if you want to go all guns blazing. They have huge magazines that can be extended and cause a fair amount of damage. However, contrary to their name, they are quite heavy and require you to holster the gun if you are running from the dreaded Blue Zone.

Here are a couple of the best LMGs you can find in the game:

16. DP-28 17. M249

The M249 was one of the most popular weapons in the early iterations of PUBG. Its recoil was manageable, and the base damage of 40 points wasn’t too bad for most players. However, the recent updates to the game have added more accuracy to the M249. Its recoil is now on the unpredictable side of the spectrum, making it one of the more difficult weapons to use.

Nonetheless, the M249 is still a classic weapon and can be paired with scopes and other attachments to destroy your opponents. We recommend pairing this with a 2X or 4X scope to hit the sweet spot amongst damage, recoil, and accuracy.

Best Sidearms in PUBG

Every PUBG player worth their salt knows that the sidearm is an important part of one’s loadout. In tight situations that require quick thinking and decent reflexes, the pistol will be your most important companion. If you’re a beginner in PUBG, remember to keep your sidearm handy.

Let’s have a look at some amazing sidearms:

18. R45

R45 is an excellent pistol for patient players. It has a surprisingly high base damage of 65 points and can be equipped with a Red Dot Sight attachment. This helps increase the revolver’s accuracy, but it doesn’t do much for the recoil. R45 has a troubling amount of recoil and a slower firing rate.

If your accuracy is above average, we recommend you to use this sidearm. A single shot would be enough to cause deadly harm to your enemies before you have to deal with the firing rate or recoil.

19. P1911

The P1911 is a fairly common gun that you can find in the different maps of PUBG. It has a great base damage of 42 points, miles ahead of some of its competitors. However, it does not have the autofire capability of a sidearm such as the P18C. You’d do well to accessorize the P1911 with an extended magazine.

This sidearm should only be used in close-range, as any distance more than 50 meters would severely hamper its damage and accuracy.

That’s it!

PUBG has an immense number of weapons to choose from, all vastly different from each other in their stats and capabilities. Although each player might have their preferred loadout, some weapons are evergreen and catch the attention of most players. This is our list of the best PUBG guns!

30 Cool Pubg Mobile Tips And Tricks To Get That Chicken Dinner

Game Settings

Before even getting into a game, there are a couple of settings you should double-check, and adjust in order to get a better performance, and to make it easier to score kills.

1. Select Third Person View or First Person View

Choose between third person view, and first person view. PUBG Mobile’s latest update has brought the ability for players to choose between first person view and third person view. Before you start the game, you can tap on the game mode button just below ‘Start’ and choose between ‘TPP’ (third person), or ‘FPP’ (first person).

2. Adjust Graphics Quality

3. Turn on Peek and Fire

In Settings (the settings cog on the top-right), go to Basic. Here, turn on ‘Peek & Fire.’ This allows you to peek from behind cover, allowing you to take shots without exposing too much of yourself. Keep in mind, you’ll still expose your head, so use it with caution.

4. Use Gyroscope for Aiming Down Sights

PUBG Mobile brings the ability to use your smartphone’s gyroscope to aim. This can be incredibly helpful when aiming down sights, or when you’re scoped in since you’ll be able to move your phone to aim at enemies instead of having to touch and drag on the screen. To enable gyroscope, simply head into Settings and then Basic.

5. Check if Aim Assist is On

6. Enable The Left Side Fire Button

7. Enable Auto-open Doors 8. Adjust the Size and Position of Controls:

9. Turn on Auto-adjust Graphics

Landing Spots Best Landing Spots in Miramar

If you’re new to playing on the desert map ‘Miramar,’ you might be looking to find out what the best places to land in are. Well, Miramar has a bunch of places you can land in to get the best loot. However, each of these places come with a certain degree of risk, so make sure you’re ready for gunfights.

1. Most loot, very high risk:

Hacienda del Patron (just above San Martin in the middle of the map)

Pecado (slightly to the south-west of San Martin, between Power Grid and Graveyard)

2. More loot, high risk:

Prison (on the south-west edge of the map, on the very corner)

Campo Militar (on the north-east corner of the map)

3. Good loot, low risk:

Minas Generales (to the south west of San Martin)

Best Landing Spots in Erangel 1. Most loot, very high risk:

Military Base (South of the map)

Prison (East edge of the map)

Mansion (Just above the Prison)

Mylta Power (South-east of the Prison)

2. More loot, lower risk

School (Middle of the map, but often dangerous)

Severny (North of the map)

Pochinki (Middle of the map)

3. Decent loot, very low risk

Bunkers near ‘Shelter’ — my personal favorite place to land.

Positioning In the Final Moments

When you’re near that chicken dinner, the circle is usually pretty small, and one mistake could send you back to the lobby.

1. Play on the Edge

If you have a 4x or 8x scope, position yourself on the edge of the play zone where the blue circle is the nearest to the white. This will give you a complete view of the play zone, while vastly reducing the chances that a player might be coming from behind you.

2. Shoot to Kill

If you spot someone and they haven’t spotted you, only take the shot if a kill is guaranteed, otherwise you’ll just end up giving away your position. Since you’ve spotted them, you have ample time to take the perfect shot — aim for the head, and shoot in bursts until the player is dead.

3. Don’t Go in Guns Blazing Miscellaneous PUBG Tips and Tricks 1. Turn off Mission Impossible Background Music

PUBG recently teamed up with Mission Impossible: Fallout to bring MI themed missions to the game, along with the Mission Impossible theme music in the background. While some people may love the new background music, if you’re not especially a fan of it you can turn it off by heading into Settings and going to Audio. You’ll find the option to disable the Mission Impossible ‘BGM’ here.

2. Change Quick Chat Messages

Quick chat is a very useful tool in squad games, especially if used correctly. While the default quick chat messages in PUBG Mobile are pretty good, you may want to change them to suit your team’s playing style. To do this, simply go to Settings and then to Quick Chat. Here you will be able to delete the messages you don’t want to use, and put in alternative messages instead. It’s pretty useful. However, you can’t write your own messages, so you’ll have to make do with the options provided by PUBG Mobile. To be fair, there are a bunch of options, so it shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

3. Use Headphones to Hear Enemy Footsteps 4. Survive Inside the Red Zone

The PUBG map frequently marks random regions as red zones. If you find yourself inside one, I’d suggest you get out quickly or else you’ll find yourself stuck in an airstrike of sort that will most likely kill you. However, if you’re in a place from where getting out is not easy, your best bet is to get inside a building. This way you’ll be able to survive the red zone.

5. Use the Map

Whether you like playing in Miramar, or whether you like the foliage in Erangel, if you really want to be a good player, use the map well. The map is updated with new safe-zones, and red-zones, so keeping a close eye on the map can be helpful. The map in PUBG Mobile also shows the direction of gunfire, footsteps, and vehicles which can help you get to know where enemies are, and if they’re coming towards you.

6. Make the Red Zone Your Strategic Friend

This isn’t something you’ll be able to do often, but some times the red zone can actually be a friend to you. If you’re inside a building when the bombs start dropping, you can do two things:

Make use of the noise to cover up your steps and gather any loot lying around inside the building.

You’ll most likely see some players running away, which makes them easy killings for you. Plus, if you spot a player, you can risk it and use the cover of the bombing noise to flank them without them being able to hear your footsteps over the commotion.

7. Mute Annoying Team-mates

8. Hide Inside Vehicles

Sitting in the co-driver seat of a vehicle keeps it off, allowing you to hide inside without alerting other players to your presence. They’ll still be able to see you, but unless you parked your vehicle in the middle of the desert, there’s no reason for most players to suspect that a player may be sitting inside a vehicle and not driving it.

9. Look Around without Moving

You can hide behind corners and use the ‘eye-button’ to look around the corner without exposing yourself. This is a handy trick that can help you spot enemies without letting them spot you.

10. Heal Like a Pro

11. Use Energy Drinks and Painkillers

Energy drinks and painkillers auto-heal you for a duration of time, and also give you a speed-boost, so use them often and as needed. Most healing equipment like bandages and health packs won’t heal you past 75%. Only the med-kit can heal you up to 100% and that’s very rare. Energy drinks and painkillers take their time to heal you, but they’ll take you up to 100% so make sure you use them often.

12. Don’t Stay Still, You’ll be a Sitting Duck

Staying still too long will make you easy pickings for a sniper; always keep moving, and take cover whenever you need to stop. The battleground in PUBG always has a bunch of players with snipers, and a lot of these players are good enough to take you out with a single head-shot. So keep moving.

Fitbit Charge 5

The Fitbit Charge 5 is the company’s most complete fitness tracker yet, and we already loved the Charge 4. It’s the perfect device for older kids looking for a more mature health tracker. It also boasts a bright AMOLED color display that’s sure to catch attention.

Like the Charge 4, the Charge 5 packs a continuous heart rate monitor, an SpO2 sensor, and Fitbit’s usual daily metric tracking smarts. Its excellent sleep tracking and lengthy battery life are especially helpful for overnight monitoring. Additionally, the Charge 5 introduces an EDA sensor to track stress, an ECG for heart health analysis, and a new Daily Readiness Score for kids interested in understanding their body’s post-activity recovery pattern.

It is, however, one of the pricier fitness trackers for kids on the market. The Charge 5 is listed at nearly $180 but keep an eye out for sales and you can usually find one for considerably less.

What Is Peacock? Pricing, Content, Availability, And More

NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service offers a lot of great movies and TV shows to stream on demand, along with live news and sports. Best of all, you can watch lots of its content for free, or watch all of it with a paid subscription starting at just $4.99 a month.

What is Peacock?

Peacock is the premium video streaming service run by NBCUniversal. The Comcast-owned media company launched the service in mid-2024. It’s home to classic and recent shows from NBCUniversal’s various broadcast and cable networks, along with films from Universal Pictures, Dreamworks Animation, and Focus Features.

In addition, Peacock features a number of exclusive new TV shows and movies for the service. These include new shows like Bel-Air and reboots of classics like Punky Brewster and Saved by the Bell, with more on the way.

As of September 2023, NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell stated in a video interview with CNBC, that Peacock had about 30 million active users, and 15 million of them were paid users.

Why is it called Peacock?

Using the name Peacock as the label for the NBCUniversal streaming service is a nod to the early days of television. As the 1960s began, most TV shows were still broadcast in black and white. However, the NBC TV network was, at the time, owned by the electronics product maker RCA, and it wanted consumers to purchase its new color televisions.

To encourage this, chúng tôi reports that RCA commissioned a new NBC logo that would play in front of its shows, showing a stylized peacock that showed off all of the primary and secondary colors in its “feathers.” The logo for the new Peacock streaming service still has the same colors featured in the old NBC logo as dots on the right side.

How does it work?

Peacock works just like other streaming services. You just log into the platform or open the app on your phone, then select the content you want to watch.

The video files themselves are kept on a remote server and streamed directly to your device. There are no official details as to how much data is consumed while streaming, but based on other platforms you can expect to use around 3GB per hour of streaming in HD.

Peacock was originally launched just in the United States in 2023. In late 2023, the service launched in Austria, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom via a partnership between Sky and Comcast. In 2023 Comcast and ViacomCBS launched a service called SkyShowtime that includes original content from Peacock. It’s currently available in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Portugal. In 2023, SkyShowtime will expand to more markets in Europe. Peacock will also expand in 2023 to Australia, India, Latin America, Hong Kong, and other countries and territories.

We’ll update this article as soon as more information is available.

Peacock Free: Free

What devices does Peacock support?

Peacock is available on iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as Android TV devices, Samsung smart TVs, and some set-top boxes. It was also later made available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game consoles. The app is also capable of streaming to Chromecast dongles and Apple TV boxes.

At launch, there was no support for Roku or Amazon Fire TV devices, nor many other devices commonly found in consumer homes. However, NBCUniversal has made major upgrades to its offering since then, and you can now watch Peacock on Roku and Fire TV.

Profile and parental control support

Peacock thankfully has support for separate profiles on one account. You can have up to six profiles per account, which means that you and up to five family or friends can share an account. Each person can then create their own custom lineup of movies and TV shows to watch under their profile.

To add a new profile to a Peacock account here’s what you can do:

You can select from one of a limited number of avatars, all from NBCUNniversal’s franchises, to be part of the new profile.

Name the new profile and you’re done.

If you are the actual account holder, you will be asked to add in extra info such as your date of birth and your zip code.

What TV shows are on Peacock?

While it’s still a relatively recent show, one huge modern sitcom classic, Parks and Recreation, is now a Peacock exclusive. The same is true of the even more popular sitcom The Office, which became a Peacock exclusive at the start of 2023. You can watch the first five seasons of that show for free.

In addition to The Office episodes, Peacock Premium subscribers have access to The Office “Superfan” episodes. These are extended episodes with new bonus scenes that didn’t make it into the episodes that originally aired on NBC. Superfan episodes are only available on Peacock with a Premium (paid) subscription.

Peacock also has all 47 previous seasons of NBC’s late-night comedy show Saturday Night Live available to stream.

Fans of Spanish-language television will be happy to learn that popular shows from NBCUniversal’s Telemundo like 100 Dias Para Volver, Betty in NY, El Barón, and Preso No. 1 can also be found on Peacock.

Here’s a quick list of some of the other great TV shows currently available to stream on Peacock:

30 Rock

Bates Motel

Battlestar Galactica

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Chicago Fire

Chicago P.D.

Chicago Med

Covert Affairs

Downton Abbey

Everyone Loves Raymond

Friday Night Lights

The George Lopez Show

Keeping Up with the Kardashians

King Of Queens

Law and Order

Law and Order: SVU

Law and Order: Criminal Intent

Married…With Children

Modern Family

Mr. Mercedes

Royal Pains

Saturday Night Live

The Real Housewives franchise

Top Chef

Two and a Half Men

Will & Grace

What movies are on Peacock?

Universal Pictures

The service also includes a number of classic and more recent movies. Here’s just a sample of what’s currently available to stream:

Jurassic World

The Back to the Future movies

The Harry Potter movies

Peacock offers faster access to Universal films

In July 2023, Universal released The Boss Baby 2 in theaters, and also for paid subscribers to Peacock on the same day. It did the same in October with the hit horror film sequel Halloween Kills and again in February 2023 with the romantic comedy Marry Me, starring Jennifer Lopez.

However, that’s just the start. As of 2023, Universal will debut most of its new theatrical films on Peacock just 45 days after they are released in theaters. In the past, it took theatrical movies much longer to reach streaming and pay cable services.

Peacock subscribers can currently stream recent movies like The Black Phone, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Jurassic Park: Dominion, and Halloween Ends. Nope (the latest film from horror movie master Jordan Peele) was added in November. Those movies will be available for four months on Peacock, before they move to other streaming services for 10 months, and will be back on Peacock for another four-month stretch.

Verizon Prepaid Buyer’S Guide: Pricing, Plans, And More

See also: The best Verizon deals

As you work your way through this page, we’ll do our best to explain your pre-paid options. However, we should note right away that Verizon reserves the ability to deprioritize any prepaid data connection, so you may see your speed suffer at times. We’ll also highlight some of the best devices you can try on Verizon’s prepaid network. If you’d rather have some of the perks of MVNOs, we’ve included a few to choose from as well. Ready to learn all about your potential future carrier? Let’s get started.

Verizon at a glance

Big Red has existed in one form or another for decades — but it hasn’t always been called Verizon Wireless. The carrier many people rely on today launched in 2000 as a joint venture between Bell Atlantic and Vodafone of the UK. It’s no longer Better Business Bureau accredited and carries just over a one-star rating. Verizon is also one of the most complained about carriers with the BBB, closing a whopping 26,700 issues in the last three years.

Verizon’s massive 4G LTE network extends into all 50 states, and the carrier has claimed the Root Metric reliability award for the last 13 years — in a row. Its 4G coverage reaches more than 300 million Americans, and its 5G coverage is available in parts of 35 major cities. Luckily, Verizon’s prepaid plans now include Nationwide 5G access, though you’ll have to pay extra for Ultra-Wideband support.

For a better picture of Verizon’s coverage, head on over to its product map.

Pre-paid Verizon plans

Unlimited talk and text

International service from $5 per month

No data

Best for:

Users who want to save money and don’t need data.

5GB pre-paid

Once you add data to the mix, it might relieve you to see that Verizon skips the cute plan names. Instead of figuring out what’s in a name, you can instantly see just how much data you’re working with. For example, this 5GB prepaid plan comes with 5GB of 4G LTE or 5G Nationwide data. Better yet, you can use as much of that data as you want for a full-speed hotspot.

In addition to the $5 autopay discount, the 5GB prepaid plan is the first to introduce Verizon’s loyalty incentives. After keeping your plan for just three months, you can save an extra $5 per month. Nine months on the network knocks off another $5 per month for a total of $15 off with autopay.

Loyalty discount after three months

Unlimited talk and text

5GB of 4G LTE data

Users who need some data, but mainly stay on wi-fi

Users who plan to stay with the network for loyalty discounts

15GB pre-paid

15GB of 4G LTE or 5G Nationwide data

Best for:

Users who call Canada and Mexico frequently

On-the-go users who need hotspot access

Unlimited pre-paid

Unlimited talk, text, and data

Talk, text, and data in Canada and Mexico

Mobile hotspot for $5 per month

Best for:

Users who don’t want to worry about data limits

Users who plan to spend time in Canada or Mexico

Unlimited pre-paid plus 5G Ultra-Wideband

Unlimited talk, text, and data

5G Ultra-Wideband included

Best for:

Users who want the fastest speeds possible

Which of Verizon’s prepaid plans is right for you?

If you’re set on joining Verizon’s prepaid service, the 15GB and Unlimited plans are your best bets. Most users will have no trouble staying under the 15GB cap, and you won’t have to pay anything extra for a mobile hotspot. The unlimited prepaid plan is the best for your money if you’re a heavy-duty data user. You’ll have to pay a bit extra for a hotspot, but you can use it as much as you want.

The unlimited plan edges out the 15GB plan when it comes to international service. It includes data, talk, and text in Canada and Mexico, while that perk is $5 per month with limited data plans. There’s a good chance you won’t need the Ultra-Wideband 5G access either, as it only offers support in select cities.

Verizon Prepaid vs the competition

Kris Carlon / Android Authority

If you really want to decide on the right carrier, you’ll have to pit the best options against one another. We’ve set Verizon’s prepaid unlimited plan against AT&T and T-Mobile’s prepaid options. Our table also includes Visible for good measure, a Verizon-owned subsidiary. You can learn more about all of the plans at the US’s Best prepaid and no-contract plans.

The best Verizon Prepaid competition comes from the second-largest US carrier, AT&T. Big Blue’s service is the most expensive at $75 per month, but that price falls to just $50 with autopay. For your money, you get unlimited 4G LTE data and 5G access, and 10GB of hotspot access.

AT&T Prepaid is the way to go if you want to stream your favorite shows too. You can watch in HD quality, just as long as you have stream saver turned off. The Unlimited Plus plan even includes talk, text, roaming in Mexico and Canada, and texting to 100 countries.

Save $25 per month with autopay

Unlimited data and 5G access included

International texting to 100 countries

T-Mobile Prepaid

10GB hotspot included

Each additional line costs $30

Add-ons available

If you’re dead-set on Verizon’s service, Visible takes a slightly different approach. It’s not technically an MVNO as it’s a wholly-owned Verizon subsidiary. There’s just one plan to choose from, and it offers unlimited talk, text, and data. Like the proper Verizon prepaid plans, Visible now offers 5G access as part of its plan. You also can finally call internationally to Canada and Mexico.

Visible’s service regularly costs $40 per month, but you and as many friends as you want can drop it to just $25 with Party Pay. You are billed individually, and late payments won’t impact the others, but you’ll all save money. If you have some family and friends you’d like to bring to the network, you can refer up to one per month, and each of you will pay just $5 for your service.

One simple plan

Hotspot and unlimited data included

Save big with Party Pay

Other MVNOs that run on Verizon’s network

So you want prepaid service and Verizon’s great network, but you don’t necessarily want to deal with Verizon directly. Visible is one of your best options, as we mentioned before. However, there are several other MVNOs to consider too. Check out our table for quick information about some of our favorites:

US Mobile is a unique Verizon MVNO in that you can build your plan just how you like it. In fact, everyone in your entire family can customize a plan. You pick your talk, text, and data, and US Mobile gives you a price. There’s even an unlimited plan that costs just $40 per month. The unlimited plan offers your choice of subscription services for free with 2, 3, and 4 line plans.

Red Pocket

You may not be as familiar with Red Pocket, but it’s an effective way to save money, thanks to its variety of plans. There are plenty of limited service options to choose from, all the way up to unlimited access. Red Pocket runs on all Big Three networks, but you’ll lock into a carrier when you sign up.

PagePlus is similar to Red Pocket, with limited and unlimited service tiers. The pricing structure is about the same, but PagePlus warns on its website about using more than 60GB of data per month. You can also opt for pay-as-you-go minutes, data add-on cards, and international add-on cards.

Total Wireless

Total Wireless has many single-line and family plans, and each includes unlimited talk and text. The data is endless as well, though you have to pay more for unlimited high-speed access. Total’s basic unlimited plans offer just 1GB of high-speed data before you fall back down to 2G speeds.

We’ve already talked about Visible in the previous section on competition, but it offers one plan at one price. You can save with Party Pay, and unlimited talk, text, and data are included. There’s finally a little bit of international access, and you can read about our own experiences with Visible in the review right here.

What phones can you use on Verizon Prepaid?

Eric Zeman / Android Authority

Verizon’s prepaid plans support nearly all of Big Red’s post-paid devices. If you can think of it, there’s a decent chance that it works on the network, from the Samsung Galaxy S22 family to the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G and even the Google Pixel 6 Pro. If you want a full rundown of options, take a peek at our list of the best Verizon phones. Of course, some phones are specifically built with Verizon’s prepaid network in mind, and you can find them here.

It’s also pretty easy to bring your own device to the Verizon network — at least as long as it’s a CDMA phone that supports all Verizon’s bands.

At one point, Bell and Vodafone were among Verizon’s owners. These days Verizon is owned by Verizon Communications, and it is a fully US-based company.

Disney Plus is included with select plans, including Play More Unlimited. Basic and prepaid plans do not offer the perk, however.

The great thing about Verizon is you might not have to unlock your phone! Unless it’s a prepaid device or an ancient iPhone 3G World device, Verizon phones are already unlocked for use on other supported carriers. However, we have a complete guide to walk prepaid and 3G World phone users through the unlock process.

Yes, Verizon has one of the strongest 5G networks in the US, with at least partial support in over 35 cities. 5G is included with most of Verizon’s plans at no extra cost.
